CHAPTER 9

END OF DINNER BEGINNING OF NOX

Dessert was delicious at the completion of the meal everyone was escorted out the back door to the patio they all sat around the huge brazier on comfy outdoor furniture, Luna, Aliyah  and Leah came out with coffee they served everyone then took their seats. Alpha glanced over at Leah then looked at Max and asked, “Does Leah still sing” Max grinned knowing exactly what Alpha had in mind he answered “why yes she does” both men gave each other a knowing smirk.

Alpha cleared his throat looked at his sons and sent them to get their acoustic guitars both Lennox and Stephano screwed up their faces but motioned to obey their father. Luna and Aliyah giggled knowing full well what Alpha and Max were up to. Leah smiled at the boys as they returned and sat with their guitars both boys looked at her as they detected a cheeky look on Leah’s face almost as if she wanted to tease and taunt them because of the discomfort of the situation they were in, Both boys shot her a mischievous don’t you dare look, a look that also said we will get you, Leah giggled quietly to herself.

Leah’s quiet taunting and giggles were brought to a drastic end when Max announced boys you play Leah will sing. Leah automatically mind linked her father cursing in his head he blocked her and said “away you go my dearest daughter”. Leah could hear the Clay boys chuckling she threw daggers at them with her eyes. Stephano straightened up and said let us do a ballad. Lennox and Stephano looked at each other, Lennox counted down 2, 3 and on 4 both boys started playing, caught up in the sound the boys made come out of those guitars like a finely tuned group Leah opened her mouth and began to sing, her melodious voice was hypnotic angelic all eyes were on her Max beamed with pride Alpha looked with contentment Luna and Aliyah had unshed tears in their eyes, as for the Clay boys their looks were something else completely.

As Leah sang the final lyrics of the song “I love you for a thousand more” a silence came over the group she opened her eyes they all clapped at once startling her a little but in typical Leah style she bowed walked over to the Clay boys and said “please old people and Andros a round of applause for Stephano and Nox”.  Everyone laughed and clapped except Lacey she interrupted the applause and in an annoyed tone she said “who on earth is Nox” Leah put her hand on Lennox’s head and ruffled his hair looked at Lacey and said, “this guy”. Stephano and Lennox chuckled under their breath.

Lacey glared at Leah and said “well I don’t like it” Max and Aliyah could hear the conversation they looked and the Alpha and Luna and said quickly we got to go Leah is about to start they smiled at each other fully understanding what Max and Aliyah meant. Leah’s whole body changed stance and just before she could open her mouth her father spoke, “ Daughter dearest it’s time to go” the clay boys were intrigued to see how quickly Leah’s parents motioned to get Leah out they chuckled guessing Leah had quite the temper and a mouth to boot. Leah graciously bowed her head to the Alpha and Luna gave Andros a kiss on the cheek and whispered bye future Mate he blushed, Leah looked Lacey dead in the eyes smirked as she said “bye Stephano and Nox” she accentuated the name Nox her smirk changed to a full blown smile with a very cheeky see ya later Lacey as she walked out the door in front of her parents.
