HOME COMING PART 2

Aliyah and Max re-joined the celebrations just in time for the countdown as 9:15 pm approached this would mark the official time Lennox would turn 18, they counted 3, 2, 1 the entire hall shouted Happy birthday.

Max and Aliyah excused themselves at 10pm Aliyah hugging Lennox wishing him a happy birthday and Max shaking his hand doing the same they bowed to their Alpha and Luna and left the hall.

As they exited Zane could not help but sense something was not quite right, he trusted his Beta and knew if it were urgent his Beta would have made him aware. Zane decided to push it to the back of his mind and continued to celebrate the night with his son, Luna, and pack.

Lennox was having a ball catching up with his friends even Stephano was there he was also studying abroad and had arrived back at the pack only 3 months prior, Lennox and Stephano were like brothers the Alpha and Luna raised Stephano, his parents were warrior wolves and were killed in the great pack war so the Alpha and Luna raised him as their own. Stephano was 1 year older than Lennox and so treated him very much like a little brother.

At this this point Lacey took her leave one of the omega’s escorted Lacey to her sleeping quarters, no sooner had she left Stephano pulled Lennox aside smirking at him simply saying “so what’s with girl?” Lennox replied, “I think she’s my mate” Stephano’s eyebrow arched “what do you mean think?” Lennox laughed and explained he and Lacey connected the 2nd year he was away and have been in a relationship ever since, Lennox promised that he would wait until Lacey turned 18 to see if they were mates he felt he owed her that.

Stephano smiled saying “you have got some big balls bringing her home knowing full well only your actual mate can be truly welcomed” Lennox laughed and replied “I’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

Stephano challenged Lennox with “Bro what would you have done if when you turned 18 you found your mate here this very night”? The expression on Lennox’s face changed he looked deep into Stephano’s deep blue eyes and coldly said “I would have Rejected her”.

In shock and extremely pissed off Stephano growled at Lennox in disappointment and anger. Stephano valued the mate bond above all else losing his mate to a car accident only 6 months after they found each other. Lennox realized the nerve he hit in Stephano and immediately apologized, Stephano’s eyes softened but with a warning he said to Lennox “if you do that I will pray to the moon goddess and ask her for your rejected mate I will treat her like a queen and leave you without any hope of you ever getting her back”. With that Stephano ruffled the top of Lennox’s head and made his way on to the dance floor where a very flirtatious she wolf had been eyeing him all night.

Lennox sat in silence with all the activity going on around him and thought about Stephano’s words he decided that Lacey was worth it, and a smile snuck onto his face at the thought of officially making her his chosen mate.
