Chapter 9December 25: Angie Christmas Day. If I were here alone, last night would still be a great memory. A great gift to myself. Dinner, the show, an easy walk through a summer night, fireworks in the sky. A traditional midnight service, which I didn’t need to wholly believe in to find meaningful. Another walk, more fireworks, and finally back in my room with the drapes pulled wide open because the sky was still alive with color. All of that would have added up to a memorable, special experience. Adding Ramon to it? Unrepeatable. Heart-wrenchingly perfect.
