It took me about fifteen minutes to fully wake up, but I needed to. This way I could go to sleep again at a normal hour and be over the worst of the jet lag in the morning. Angie warned me he’d be leaving for the studio pretty early, told me I didn’t have to come along for that, and gave me a sweet kiss when I said I’d be there before noon.
What I most needed to do the next day was get online and deal with business email. I could do that from the dance studio just as well as I could do it from Angie’s house. And I wanted to get the vibe of the place.
