Janett's Pov
I couldn't believe that the witch had slapped me for a simple missunderstanding. I could only imagine her reaction if she knew about her son and I. The whole family had issues, I knew I could never go back to that house. It was a pitty too because I really enjoyed the friendship with Amy. I really wanted to fix things with her family but I knew how their mother truly saw me and l knew I had to stay as far as possible.
As the days went by I started to feel off. l was just constantly tired, I had no energy. I had been through a lot and I figured my body was finally catching up to me. I made an appointment to see the university's doctor.
" What brings you to my office today miss?" He asked.
"I have been feeling exhausted lately." I answered.
He ran a few test and asked a few questions. I was scheduled to return within the same afternoon for my results. I had a weird feeling that something was truly wrong with me.
I walked in the doctors office fearing the worse.
" Miss, have a seat," he said in o serious tone.
" What is the matter?" I asked fearing cancer or autoimmune disorder.
"congratulations you are pregnant!." he said smiling sheepishly.
I understood what he was telling me but my brain was struggling to fully comprehend what was being told to me. At that moment it dawned on me that the reality of that night had caught up to me.
I left the doctor's office in a daze, I was still in school, recently unemployed and now I was pregnant with a child that would never be accepted in his family. My baby would never know his or her father.
I didn't know how I had gotten my myself in this mess.I had kept a good student record my entire life.I always kept myself out of trouble and here I was sitting on the cold concrete crying lamenting myself for my stupid choices.
I had no idea of how long I had sat on the ledge of the sidewalk I had finally calmed down enough to walk back home to plan my next steps when l hit something hard.
"Watch where you are going!" I yelled. I looked up only to find william holding me steady. There was no way for him to be able to tell that I was expecting his child but I was terrified nonetheless.
