As the sun started to peek through the curtains, Emily slowly opened her eyes to find Alexander's arms around her. His lips pressed gently against her neck and a warm feeling spread throughout her body.
"Good morning love, did I wake you?" he whispered in her ear.
A smile spread across her face as she replied, "Maybe you did, maybe you didn't."
Alexander sat up next to her, his warm hand taking hers. "I'm sorry about last night. I got caught up with work. And I know I said we would talk. Can we talk now?"
Emily looked into his eyes and saw the sincerity in them. "Of course," she replied, sitting up to face him.
