CHAPTER 22: More Problems
Hailey felt extreme sorrow for what Matt had gone through over his childhood. She does no know what part of Matt’s life hit her hard. After Matt had closed his mouth to end his story, Hailey’s tearful eyes became rigid and still. Quietness started to fill their surroundings. Matt was not still looking at her directly in the eyes. He was still quite angry. The two detected awkwardness to each other, which made the silence between them more present. People around them were moving while Hailey and Matt were statuettes, fixed at their own chairs.
