Jesse paid the driver, and we exited the vehicle. With the crowd of travelers from across the globe, we entered the terminal and approached the ticket counter.
“It’s after five. If the security stations aren’t backed up, we should make the flight,” Jesse said.
“We,” I thought. So, he at least wanted to get to D.C. Maybe I could talk him out of his other plans.
Security was as expected in a country that had known war since its inception.
