HOME COMING

The prince drove home to the palace in absolute silence. He told the family members, the cabinet members and the palace staff what has happened and every one was in shock as they cried. He held the princess and they went to his room, there he placed a call to his mum and sister narrating what has happened and they cried and told him they will book the next available flight back home. As he finished his call, he saw the princess sobbing, he went to her and held her and comforted her. just then the cousin Phil came and they both wept and Phil asked why was I not contacted, he told him that everything happened so fast and that they where thinking of bringing him to the hospital when he died.

The day passed quietly and quickly too. Ugonma called the lawyer to find out what is happening and he told her that Queen Beatrice is now in custody and upon interrogation has confessed to killing the king with her hench men and your uncle knew about it and infact suggested the murder and confessed how she locked you up for days before taking you to king Eric. She equally said she was behind Kingsly's accident, your mum's deteriorating health condition and Queen Esther's blindness "Infact that woman is evil" he ended. "Good, let her be there until my mum and kingsly return. I will just stay a little with my fiancee before i return i cant just leave now. let mum call me as soon as they return please" the princess pleaded.

   It's now two days since the death of King Eric and the arrest of Queen Beatrice and her hench  men. Princess Ugonma woke up to the sound of the phone ringing, " Hello" she said "What is wrong with you, you mean you are still at that palace, I want you back here immediately" the mum said furiously and hung up before Ugonma could say any other thing. Ugonma sighed." Who was that" the prince asked, " My mum, she demands that I come home immediately, what do I do. I cant just leave you like this"  " Your mum is right, if I am in her shoes, I will do worst, shower and have your break fast and I will take you home" Ugonma could not argue, she knows he was right and she went ,took her bath and after the breakfast they both left in the Kings car as the Prince wanted them to know he is in charge and will not be intimidated. He came to a boutique and stopped, " Lets go and get my Queen a royal gown and some sandals to change, cause I don't want any one ever belittling you again"  turning to the princess, he said " My Queen, I want you to be in control of yourself, your family and mine. Our two kingdoms ok?" She nodded and the went to the exotic boutique and she bought anything that tickled her fancy and by the time she changed and stepped out, the prince was left breathless because of her beauty. He couldn't hold himself as he rushed to her and scupped her up and swiveled around before kissing her passionately, the kiss left them gasping for breath before he carried her bridal style to the front of the car.

   Prince George pulled up at the parking lot and taken inn the uniformed guards that just returned this morning after hearing of the return of the crown prince and her mother, the prince observed that the palace was beautiful, there were a multitude gathered in the palace and as soon as the saw their Princess, every one let out a shout of joy and upon hearing that, the  Queen could no longer hold her tears of joy as she rushed to welcome her daughter.  Kingsly came and hugged her sister with the other siblings and step brothers and sisters. Ugonma was so happy to see Kingslys leg has healed, in her joy she has forgotten about the prince until her mother asked" Who is this with you Ugo"  Ugonma ran to him and kissing him boldly " Meet my fiancee, Prince George" There was another shout of joy from everyone except the queen and that did not go unnoticed by George but he sighed and told himself she has every right to be displeased, It took quiet a while before the people, relatives and well wishers began to leave and finally only the immediate family was left. They were all served a sumptuous lunch and all observed that the Queen was silent. After the meal, she summoned them to the inner kings sitting room. Herself, Kingsly, Uncle Sam, Ugonma and George.

        "What happened to you my darlyn, why is Eric's son here with you after all he did and what is the meaning of his your fiancee, any way, he will rut in jail. Th e lawyer, George and Ugonma exchanged glances and realized the queen has not been told of the demise of King Eric. The princess sighed and told the mum how the king passed a way and everything that happened from her kidnapping up until this morning. They were all crying at what the princess had to go through, the Prince for the first time since he came to the palace cleared his throat " Your highness, the crown prince, Uncle Sam and my beautiful Queen, I sincerely want to thank you all and on behalf of myself, my family and kingdom, apologize for the great injustice, inhuman act exhibited by my late father which he deeply regretted even on his death. I know that no amount of apology or sorry will be enough but like my father said just before he died, all these happened so that I will meet my Queen, I will not stand on the path of justice and I will be willing to do what ever I can to help and I equally want to use this medium to officially inform you all of our engagement and we intend to formalize it as soon as my father is buried because our custom demand I have a wife before ascending the throne" The Queen rose and embraced him" Am so sorry to hear of Eric's demise and I welcome you to my family. Thank you for taking good care of her. On my part, we will strike out the case and no one will mention it again, that is assuming we all are in agreement" she turned and looked at all of them and the nodded in agreement. They all bid him farewell but Ugonma took him to her room. As soon as the door closed behind them, they jumped at each other, kissing, cuddling and finally the prince could not wait any more as he entered in to her and made sweet love to her.  After wards he left with a promise to call her as soon as he gets to the palace and to see her everyday.
