Zoe’s POV
I was a little disorientated when I opened my eyes. It took me a few minutes to remember where I was and what I was doing here. It was crazy, I had only known Eddie a short time, but I felt safe here, like no one could touch me as long as he was around. He had opened up to me a little last night. It made me sad that his grandparents had made him feel so unwanted. My parents and I had different opinions on how my life should turn out now, but when I was a kid, not a day went by without them telling me that they loved me. No child should have to grow up without that.
