Chapter 6

"Who the hell am I?" Nathan repeated the question with a cold smile. By the second time, his eyes were full of rage. "Who am I? I am Andrea's husband and Abigail's father! My daughter is only four years old. How dare you hurt her! How dare you humiliate my wife!" With every word Nathan spoke, Steven and York felt more despair. Jason, hanging upside down, was also in deep despair. No matter how strong the Hamilton family was, they couldn't fight against a hundred thousand armed soldiers. "Dad! Save me! I don't want to die!" Jason cried out in despair. But how could Steven dare to respond? Both he and York were terrified. They had never imagined Andrea's husband would have such immense power. Despite this, Steven couldn't just watch his son be killed. His only grandson had already been frightened to death by Nathan. Jason was his only son left. If Jason died, the several billions he had accumulated over decades would have to be donated to charity. Besides the worries about his vast wealth, Steven was truly terrified. No matter how strong the Hamilton family was, they couldn't summon a hundred thousand armed Special Forces. If they fought Nathan, the fighter jets, armed helicopters, tanks, and armored vehicles down the hill could obliterate them in minutes. Thinking of this, Steven bowed before Nathan. He was completely subdued and looked at Nathan with despair, begging, "We didn't know you were Ms. Watson's husband… We didn't know that little girl was your daughter… Please give us a chance. I am willing to give up half of the Hamilton family's assets as compensation for the damage we caused…" "No! Not just half! I am willing to give up all my assets! As long as you spare my son and me, I will hand over all the Hamilton family's properties, real estate, farms, stocks, supermarkets, everything!" Facing the tens of thousands of Special Forces and mercenaries, as well as the fighter jets circling in the sky, Steven could only hope to exchange the Hamilton family's vast wealth for his and Jason's lives. "Do you think money can solve everything?" Before Nathan could speak, Jacky Tebb, the chairman of Infinity Conglomerate, stepped forward, sneering at Steven with every word, "You think the things you have are valuable? Do you know that Master Williams has transcended mortal boundaries and reached a godly state?" "M-M-M-Mr. Tebb?!" Steven looked up and saw Jacky's all-too-familiar face. Jacky, the head of the most successful financial group in Europe?! Steven's eyes widened in disbelief. The Hamilton family might be wealthy, but compared to Jacky, they were insignificant. And here was Jacky, showing immense respect for this young man and calling him Master Williams. Who exactly was this young man? It wasn't just Steven who was terrified; York was also. They hadn't noticed Jacky earlier, but seeing him step forward now, they began to observe the other disciples behind Nathan. As they looked, Steven and York's faces filled with even more fear. Although they didn't recognize John Decker from SPECTRE or some presidents from small countries, many of Nathan's disciples were familiar faces from the international media. Some were so well-known that even their subordinates would recognize them. "Isn't he a major financial figure in the UK? He was on the cover of major finance magazines. Why is he here?" "And that one, isn't he the former president's personal bodyguard? He's been working in the Pentagon and has protected dozens of foreign heads who visited the United States." "The founder of Microsoft… The Chairman of the Federal Reserve… Why are these business leaders here?" Seeing so many familiar faces, Steven and York couldn't stop trembling; they couldn't comprehend how bad their situation truly was. 'How could an incident with a little girl involve so many world-renowned figures?' At that moment, Steven was so scared that he nearly lost the will to live. He collapsed in front of Nathan, apologizing and begging for forgiveness repeatedly. "Now you regret it? Don't you think it's too late?" Nathan stared at Steven, "Your son and grandson's lives matter, but my daughter's life doesn't?" "Her life matters! It matters! I need to discipline my son! I was wrong! Please forgive us!" Steven continued to plead. However, Nathan let out a cold laugh, a chilling smile from hell slowly crossing his lips, "Only if you dig out Jason's heart yourself." "Are you asking me to kill my son?" Steven's expression froze, but after a few seconds of silence, a cold glint flashed in his eyes. He gritted his teeth and accepted his fate, "Fine, I'll do it. I'll kill him myself right now." "No, Dad! Don't kill me!" Jason panicked and began struggling desperately. But with his shoulder pierced and hung by an iron hook, he couldn't escape no matter how hard he tried. Steven, holding a dagger, walked towards Jason slowly. "Don't kill me! Dad! I don't want to die!" Jason screamed in agony; terror written all over his face. But Steven's expression grew more and more sinister. Just when Steven was about three meters away from Jason, he suddenly dropped the dagger, pulled out a Colt 1911 pistol, and quickly turned, aiming at Nathan and pulling the trigger, "Go to hell!" Bang! The bullet flew out with precision, heading straight for Nathan's forehead. "Master Williams!" The sudden shot was too fast. None of the disciples could react in time, and the bullet hit Nathan's forehead. "Hahaha! Master Williams? Who the f*ck do you think you are? Do you think you can scare me? No matter how powerful your status or background, you have no choice but to die when faced with my gun!" Steven laughed triumphantly. He knew that even if he killed his own son, Nathan wouldn't spare him or the Hamilton family, so he might as well make a desperate gamble. But then, Steven's laughter abruptly stopped, and everyone around was left stunned and speechless. "How could this be? Are you a human or a devil?" Following everyone's gaze, Nathan stood there with a murderous look on his face. The bullet that had just been fired was now suspended one centimeter in front of Nathan's forehead, spinning rapidly from the force of the gunpowder but unable to move forward even a tiny bit. Nathan reached out, plucked the bullet from the air, and tossed it casually to the ground, giving Steven a disdainful smile for his naivety and ignorance. After comprehending the Book of God, Nathan had gained an invisible force field around him that could be activated at any time, making ordinary bullets unable to penetrate it. Moreover, having been nourished by the Fountain of Youth, Nathan's body had already been strengthened, to the point that he was now indestructible. A mere bullet, even without the force field, wouldn't harm him. As for being injured by Jason's dagger earlier, that was because Nathan didn't have time to activate his force field while Andrea was in that life-or-death situation. At that moment, no one knew the extent of Nathan's formidable abilities. Everyone present was dumbfounded. Nathan's disciples were especially astonished. "Even bullets can't penetrate Master Williams's defenses?" Steven had gone completely mad. "I don't believe it. No way! How can a human withstand a bullet?" "No way! Go to hell, Nathan!" Suddenly, Steven emptied the clip at Nathan madly.
