"Wait!" Seeing how things were escalating, Paul and his group went weak, dropping to the floor and pleading, "Don't hurt us! We'll go with you to see your boss; we're willing to apologize!"
Even though Nathan was on their side, he was just one man. Getting hit with a baton might hurt, but a knife could kill them.
They didn't believe Nathan could protect everyone, so Paul and the others began to beg. "Andrea, please have your husband let go of him!"
