15- Remy

“You didn’t see how she drove that thing. The point about cars like that is you gotta have, like, massive control to drive them. That’s the whole f*****g point.” Buggy geeked to anyone who would hear him— anyone being Slink and Wolf. I couldn’t f*****g care though. I shot down another glass of whiskey, felt it sizzle through my body and shook my head. Why hadn’t he said anything? I’d used all of my restraint with Carl. I broke zero kneecaps, I punched zero people— I even went back to fix the other guy’s car problem and didn’t make Carl dance naked while we threw coins at him. I did all of this. But Decker hadn’t said a word to me. He was right here in the bar, like almost half of the other members. But he kept his distance. Slink said they talked about me in Church though he refused to tell me what exactly. Said I could ask Decker. f*****g slimy asshole. “You sure you wanna drink more, Remy?” I looked at Wolf. He looked worried. And so bloody soft. I reached out for his face. He didn’t flinch. Any normal person would. Silly boy. “Why don’t you drink with me, hmm?” He held my hand away from his face and squeezed it softly. “I don’t drink.” I yanked it away like it burned. “Well, someone f*****g should.” I turned to Buggy and Slink. “Are yall gonna drink?” Slink shrugged and pushed his glass towards me. Buggy did the same. I picked the whiskey bottle and poured some for them before turning directly to the one man that could drive me mad. “Maybe your big brother wants a drink.” Wolf’s hand wrapped around my arm. “There are people here, Remy —” I yanked it away again and glared at him. “And I can see that.” My steps to Decker were measured, because I didn’t want him to think that I was drunk. A lie. I was so f*****g good at those I deserve a trophy. “What? We didn’t even have a one night stand and you’re already done with me,” Decker didn’t even look at me. “Are you about to cause a scene, Remy?” I plopped on the chair right next to him. “I want you to talk to me. You can’t… you can’t f*****g give me heaven and take it from me like that, okay? I deserve… I deserve better—” “Yeah, I’m glad we can both agree on that.” He looked at me now, his grey eyes warm. “Why was Blake Benson on our territory?” I shrugged. “Beats me. Don’t you have Rookies to ask—?” “They can’t do anything to him. They know better. And he won’t come here if he’s not getting an invitation from someone inside. He’s a busy man.” He cut in. “So I’ll ask again, why was he here?” I laughed. “What? You think that I invited him?” “You raced with him. In his car. That he snuck in. And you—” He stopped. His hand clenched around the glass in front of him tighter, his voice going into a whisper. “He is not the kind of person you want to… spend your time with.” “Why? Because now that I choose spending time with him and no one’s forcing it, it’s such a problem? Or because you wanna turn this into a whole f*****g ‘I can save you’ situation like you always do?” I didn’t know when the words flew out of my mouth but they did and I didn’t stop. “You know what? I hate him. I hate that bastard because he’s cocky and arrogant but if he gets under your skin the way he does now, I’m going to f**k him tomorrow.” His eyebrow twitched. “Remy, this is not a f*****g game.” “You and my Father have been acting like that’s exactly what the f**k it is.” I snapped and leaned in. “Or maybe there is a third option. This isn’t you wanting to save me. This is you wanting to f**k me and fighting it like I’m some demon you have to win over.” He stared at me. “You’re not a demon.” My hand moved to his thigh. “Then stop—” His hand shot out and grabbed my wrist. “You’re a little girl that believes everyone belongs to her. You have big dreams that whatever you want should be given to you and if not having me is the only punishment I can give you that f*****g works, you’ll get it.” He let go of it and I almost stumbled but fortunately for me, I didn’t. I stood up, my eyes on him before I said loudly, “Everyone! The Reaper King just told me how badly he wants to protect me from everyone. Even himself! Isn’t that so sweet of him?!” He looked pissed. So f*****g pissed. A smile crept up my face as the adrenaline in my blood skyrocketed. Punish me. He thinks this is a one way street? Especially with how horny I am? He’s about to get another thing coming. “Diego!” I yelled over music. I was already back at my former table. Buggy and Slink, ever so helpful, helped me get up the table. “Play something I can dance to, amigo!” Diego, ever ready to play along, gave a thumbs up. The music started as everyone began to holler. I moved, closing my eyes as I swung my hips around, giggling here and there while I ran my hands up to the side. “You're gonna start a riot!” Someone shouted. “Let her cook!” another voice answered. I laughed and spun, the fabric of my dress flaring out around my thighs. Buggy hollered. Slink banged on the table. Wolf laughed. We were happy. We were all f*****g happy. Then a hand grabbed my ankle. The music stopped immediately. Everywhere went silent. And I was sure it was because of one person. I stopped. Breathless. “What the f**k do you want?” Decker Kane looked up at me. “You wanna be treated like a f*****g hooker, don’t you?” He yanked. I crashed onto the table hard, the wood hit my back, the breath slammed out of my lungs. My dress rode up past my thighs. I didn't care. Decker loomed over me, his grey eyes black, his chest heaving. The bar was dead silent. No one moved. No one breathed. “Answer me.” This was public. Decker Kane was touching me in public. In front of everyone. And he looked like he was either going to kill me ot f**k me. My p***y soaked through my pants. “Yes.” He moved away, his voice coming out in a growl. “Then you all can have her.” He turned away. “I expect you back at the cabin at 10:15. Don’t be late.” And he was gone.
