I walked towards the cafeteria for lunch. It has been my first day here and no one seems to be interested in me. Great! In stead I got into bullies who should be punched straight into their face. I walk with my tray towards the last seats but I see people there instead. Great! No place is available here. I walked through the corridor expecting an empty class. I pushed open a door expecting the class to be empty.
I saw a bunch of children with their lunch there with their friendship glowing in the darkness. I could recognize the red-head and rosy-cheeked girl along with the masculine guy. I gulped hard and muttered, "I am sorry", as it was difficult to be a victim of their scrutinized eyes.
I turned around to go away when I bumped into someone. The prankster. I didn't care to look back at them any more and moved straight to the bleachers. It was a bit warm out. But I had already wasted half the time in a hunt for empty rooms.
As a result, I didn't have enough time to complete my lunch. But I tried to complete at least half of it.
Throwing away rest of my lunch, I went into my next class.
The prankster was sitting right at the last bench, where I had planned to sit.
Leave it.
I walked and sat beside him. He didn't seem to pay attention to me.
He will never pay attention to you, you are boring tay!
I convinced myself somehow and sat straight.
"Hey nerd!", was I dreaming or something? He greeted me.
"h..hi..", I stuttered.
"What has happened to your hands?", he asked noticing the red marks on them.
No one till date had ever wanted to be my friend , let alone notice me to that extent.
"I...I..I just got in to an accident..", I muttered.
"Sure...", he smirked with sarcasm, I guess. Whatever.
The truth is, my aunt had asked me to prepare breakfast.. but she threw it away.. saying that it was SALTY and asked me to prepare it all over again.
IN the process, I burnt my hand and even it is the sole reason that I got late to school.
It had been difficult for me to hold a pen and note down points. But..if I never did it.. no one else will.
I pumped myself with encouragement and started writing with determination, without any further encounter with the bullies in the whole day. Phew!
