Chapter 1 - The Wedding

3 Years Later, She had forgotten all the memories of the day like smoke. And... The wedding starts. It was the day, that cheating boyfriend of Ji-Eun getting married. Her friends who are also friends of her ex-boyfriend, Roy, planned to gather at his wedding. Ji-Eun who is now a person who is living her life to the fullest, earning money then travelling. Ji-Eun forgot the whole day but still having lingering thoughts in her mind decided not to go his wedding. But with her bestfriend's insistence to show how well Ji-Eun is, she finally gave up and decided to go with her friends. At the end of the day, she also wants to show her loser ex-boyfriend, how loser he is to lose her. They all get through the entrance gate of the venue. The venue is well decorated, as if there is no other moment to show how wealthy is he. It was basically, his soon-to-be wife's father's wealth. But to him, it was all his. Ji-Eun, wearing a beautiful sky blue gown, and heels is looking like the Cinderella who did come to the party to look for her prince charming. Her hair clipped with a pin, goes perfect with her dress code. "Ji-Eun, are you gonna make Roy jealous or what? You look awesome." Gyu-ri, her college friend kidded. "Not at all." Ji-Eun smiled. 'Yes, it was.' She smirked inside. After those events, her friends gave her moral support. Her ex-boyfriend, Roy, kneeled down and asked her forgiveness. She did forgave him. But, it was just for formal. Inside of her, still did not forgave him. They just started be just friends after that. But, only Ji-Eun knew, that it was all for fake. How can she forgave that jerk and be friends with him? It's absolutely a fool can do this. She does want to smack him at that moments but because she wants to maintain her pride, she decided to control herself. Now, on this year. This month. This day. That jerk's wedding is going to happen. She didn't feel any empathy for that jerk's wife, as she is also a bi*ch in this matter. She is the one with whom Ji-Eun caught Roy cheating on her. Ji-Eun and her friends on the left side of venue. With the Spring sun hitting her face, Ji-Eun felt sunkissed. Soon the wedding starts with the bride walking down the aisle with her father beside her. While that jerk standing in the altar, smiling widely, feeling his jaw could drop down any minute. Ji-Eun smirked seeing that. She felt a little furious over this wedding. It was not like she is having feeling for that jerk. But it was because, she didn't even have a crush in these three years while that jerk is getting married, that too with a loaded women. She was having everything in her life, The work of her dream, absolutely with stress from her direct supervisor. The happiness to be around her beloved family and friends. But she is lacking a thing. In these three years, she didn't even try having a crush. "He was not my style." That's what she always said when others asking about her lacking ability. But only she knew it, the real reason behind her not having any crush or boyfriend. She was having a phobia of commitment in these three years. She was scared what might it be another love scammer just like Roy. She did go through this thoughts over and over again whenever she interact with a male. She also tried every possible way of overcoming the fear but she couldn't. Truthfully, she didn't. Ji-Eun had mental breakdown while caught her ex-boyfriend. After that moments, she cannot continue her dating life, making her incompetent in front of her friends and family. Half of the people, did also thought that she can't move on from her ex-boyfriend. But she didn't take it at all serious. 'Is there a law that a man or women should depend on other, calling it love and marriage?' That's what she always said to herself. She did find a little comfort with those words. But it was not the matter. She did wanted to date boys. Also wanting a grand wedding like this. But all she could do was, imagining, reading webnovels about love and watching movies about romance. If she really having phobia or she really didn't see the man of her life, is a puzzle to her also. Ji-Eun bored of that jerk's wedding vows, gets up from her seat. She looks at her friends, all looking excited. She sighed and walks to the back of the avenue. She was far away from hearing those wedding vows. The air starts getting chill. She stands to aside of the venue, looking up at a big tree. The tree looks somewhat lonely, with lots of scribbling on its body. she gets closer to the tree to look at those scribblings. "That's what called to be a love tree." a unfamiliar but felt somewhat a little familiar voice informed her. "What? Love tree?" She give up reading those scribbling and looked to the side, while her back still bends half. She saw a muscular man. A little lonely smile on his side of lips, Just for formality, she thinks so. His pale white skin and cherry like red lips. She somewhat felt familiar with this man's face. Where did she seen it? 'Where did I seen him?' She thought to herself. She stands up while giving formal smile from her side. 'ouch!' She gasped her breath. The memories flooded back all together. She did remember. She did seen him. There. That cafe. With her eyes puffy from crying, she did seen him at the cafe. "Breath!" He said gently. 'What?' She asked herself while her eyes widen. "I mean your breath. You are not breathing." He smiled. The same smile from before. But she felt a little different in it. She finally exhaled her breath with coughing. "Are you okay?" He asked her. He talked informal to her. She felt not at all fury over that as she is busy with her shock. "Y...Yes. Yes!" She gulped down her saliva. They looked at each other without any word. She, who is shocked. He, who is delighted to see Ji-Eun. While the spring sun and wind with flower petals tuning tunes for their soon-to-be love.
