Chapter Twenty-Three It had been two weeks since I’d been back at home and I was slowly adjusting to life after being part of a madman’s illegal experiments that had changed me forever. I was still haunted by the memories of the attack in the jungle and the vacant stare of the soldier at Maztec, but I was trying to put them behind me. Dwelling on them was not good for me.
