Chapter 3.1

It was dark and only the bright blue moon that glows in the city of Artemis. The clouds still covering the night sky with circular motion. While stars are scattered all over its place yet, the view is still breathless— Nothing changes, it is still beautiful even before nor after the end. From this breathless beauty of the night, Reality, or in-game, everyone surely won’t regret seeing this.

"Looks like we'll be having a lot of loots today!" The stranger man shouted

"Yeah!! Lets find Some More!"

But the only thing that ruining this moment was the non-stop noise from people outside the city. Their noise and bomb explosion almost echoed that could almost reach from the highest building.

If someone’s curious about what is happening. Well, the people are busy collecting loots from the ground they dug up.

It was a season of collecting loots and the event was built by slaying as much as the players could get from the loot monster. No one cares if they’re breaking something property inside the game, the important is they’ve got what they are needed. This may be nothing for them but for the eighteen years old girl, this was a headache for her who currently having sightseeing from the top of the house roof.

*Phones ringing*

Meanwhile, her phone suddenly rungs up and vibrate in her pocket. She's thinking of ignoring the call and just leave it be and go back to laying on the roof, but she couldn’t stand it any longer of hearing the ringtone of her phone. So, she stood up from laying and took her phone out to answer it.

“What is it now?” she said with an annoying look on her face

“Hey! Where are you? The event will end soon, we only have an hour to collect our loots” the person said to Joie

“ Yeah, I know that. So?” she replied but the person from the other side of the call suddenly shouted at her. She’d almost fell from the roof, a good thing she balanced herself quickly back standing. Her right ear felt hurt a bit because of that person's sudden shout.

“Hey! Calm down, Can you please lower your voice? My ears hurt”

“Calm down!? We’ve arrived so early here in the morning and until now, we haven’t got anything yet. The clock is running you know! Now you’re asking me to calm down?!”

“H-hey it's Just a Game, Denyse. Don’t stress with this event, they’re still some other time for thi—” she tried to calm the person who’ve just shouted on phone. She thought this would listen but it's an opposite effect happen.

“AGH? What are we doing here then? Huhu why are you doing this to me. Ouch, it's okay, it's just a bite of a DINOSAUR”

“I’ll hang this off now, I’ll go by myself instead. Bye”

Denyse has ended the call while emotionally trying to convince Joie with her dramatic technique. In that way, Joie will think deeply and change her mind to help Denyse to get some monster event loots within the left remaining time.

“Ahh, great here we go again. You little dramatic queen”

She can’t help but grab her phone up again to dialed her friend's number. Joie waited for minutes until an hour has passed but still, Denyse hasn’t picked up her call, she frowned and bit her lip a bit while waiting again. She’s now getting worried, she knows that her friend always doing this to her but this time. It was a bit strange.

Is this her new way to convince Joie to help her gathered some rare loots?

She tried to relocate Denyse, but the GPS isn’t giving her friend current location

“This is not funny anymore!” Joie cursed at her phone and throws it up down from the roof to the ground of the house then it turns broken pixels. She doesn’t like what is happening right now. Her mood in this game is ruined her night. She ranted up in the air cursing at the game like she was saying to her mind that ‘I won’t play this game ever again!’

She had no choice but to do something, It might be that Denyse is in danger.

Joie turns her gaze to the left side of the house and measures how long it’ll take for her to move straight to find Denyse. She moves backward to prepared herself to jump off high on the other side of the second-level house, when the distance is ready, she jumps off high in house by house. It's more convenient for her to move if she’s doing this.

Senses skill inside this game has activated by her ability two times, and it makes joie moves faster than its normal movement of a human. She could almost pass through walls, roofs to houses, trees, and many things that would block her way.

“Tsk, Where are you,” She said while still searching To her

She stops right up from the center of the top of the chimney, Her Golden brown eyes glowed up at night as the moon helps her light up her dark path through the forest. Her senses felt something weird from the forest, she couldn’t figure out what it is but more of that joie felt that there are more things in the forest side that she can sense, and it was the loots of players got.

“This is weird”

“ I can sense a bit of use up potion here”

She jumps down to the ground to walk through the entrance of the forest, she hasn’t gotten in yet, but she already could feel the heavy Mana. However, a rare item of event loot has been left dropped by someone. Joie took this and use it to track the person left. Then, suddenly a strong wind appeared and covered joie that soon after became a long tread blue.

"System call, tracking skill on!" The blue tread scattered all over the forest sign that this blue is tracking where the person goes. She followed this until the blue thread brought her inside the forest in the center of all trees. The thread is fading, but before this could vanish, it left some traces first that form into three persons that show their action while fighting some monsters.

Joie notices that one of the three-person that the blue thread formed is her friend, Denyse, holding a sword with her both hands while giving support to the other player. She walked near to the blue figure of her friend and face it. As she stopped in front of the figure, she’d already felt some weird stuff such as dark Mana flowing around it. She tried to touch it, but the blue screen suddenly came out of nowhere saying ‘SOS’ her eyes widened as soon as she saw the message. She knew that Denyse is in danger.

“Denyse!” she run off and began to let her tracking skill activate again as the blue thread guided her way in a darker place of the forest. The moment she steps on the side of the forest, the gigantic hand suddenly appeared from nowhere. She quickly jumped off away to avoid the massive impact from the ground and took her chance to take her weapons out in command.

The fog began to appear like the area of the forest automated set itself into the battle area. White pixels trees suddenly turn into a transparent barrier inside and out. Joie did not expect that she put herself in a trap. Now, to escape in the forest. She has to fight and win against her enemy.

“Who stoles my treasures?”

A deep voice echoed slowly in the air as every step of this feels like an earthquake. This Creature is hiding behind the fog that almost a black figure can only be seen, but it still can determine that this was tall like a tree. Joie waited for this creature to come out from hiding in the fog, but even this was not moving to his place. Then, Suddenly the yellow screen appeared in front of joie. Her eyes widened when she saw the information given by the game.

“This, this is—” she didn’t continue what she's saying when a giant shadow covered where she's standing. She can feel this breathing behind her. She slowly turned herself around to face that thing and joie did not expect that this creature was already in front of her was staring.
