Charlotte didn't know what to say to Teddy.
Truly, Jack was her mate. She perceived him as her mate the moment she inhaled that sweet, smoky scent that was like coffee.
She wanted to drink him and have him plunge his dîck in her core, but he was her husband's elder brother.
Charlotte couldn't boldly acknowledge the truth to Teddy's face. She was afraid of Teddy's reaction. He had been her husband for four years, and he would beat her mercilessly if she dared to tell him the truth that Jack Hudson was her real mate.
While Charlotte was still in her ocean of thoughts, contemplating on what to tell Teddy, Teddy moved away from the room window and neared Charlotte.
"Answer me, Charlotte! Is my older brother, Jack Hudson, your real mate? Did you feel the mating bond connection with him that you had to grip him closely and kiss him too?" Teddy demanded, as he finally approached Charlotte.
He startled her out of her ocean of wild thoughts.
"No..." Charlotte responded in a shaking voice, but Teddy didn't believe her.
"What do you mean by no? And why is your voice shaking? Do you think that you can lie to me?
You have no right to lie to me, speak now! Unless you want me to discipline you for lying in the face of your Alpha?" Teddy demanded, as he stood beside Charlotte.
For the first time in their four years of marriage, Charlotte's sweet lemonade scent wafted through Teddy's nostrils, and he inhaled the scent, feeling his bulge forming in his pants.
"Answer me, Charlotte? Can't you speak?" Teddy shouted at Charlotte again, as he grasped her neck and pulled her close to himself.
He wanted to choke her to death, but as his hands touched her neck, he pulled her close to himself and sealed his lips on hers, giving Charlotte the shock of her life.
Though, it wasn't the first time that Teddy had kissed her, and she would be desiring him for more, but this time, Charlotte felt irritation, and she didn't try to kiss Teddy back.
This fueled Teddy's anger, as he saw how Charlotte had held onto his elder brother and kissed him sweetly like her life depended on his. But for her to not kiss him back now, she stood like a piece of stick, unmoving, while he kissed her soft lips alone.
Charlotte was expecting Teddy to be irritated and stop kissing her like he usually does, and tell her that she wasn't his real mate and he feels nothing for her. Instead, he continued kissing her lips, kissing her more passionately and touching her áss in the not-supposed areas.
Charlotte used all her powers within herself, including the power of her wolf, to push Teddy away from kissing her. As she felt the need to vomit, she dashed out of the room, running downstairs and away from Teddy's touch.
With the way Teddy's hands had reached to caress Charlotte's body and also fondle one of her buttọcks, Teddy hadn't kissed her like that before.
Though Charlotte was still angry with Teddy for ruining their anniversary night, and also bringing another woman into their home.
If Teddy had paid more attention to Charlotte when he arrived home, he would have seen that she was dressed sweetly and pretty just to welcome him on his arrival. But he dared to mistreat her, and flog her in front of Anne Robert, his true mate and assistant.
Sobbing, Charlotte went downstairs, and she saw the dining table which she had prepared for Teddy and her to enjoy themselves on their fourth wedding anniversary night.
The food she had served there was still covered, and the candles had burnt out, while the wine bottles were still on top of the dining table.
Charlotte strolled to the dining table to sit there and have her dinner, as she hadn't eaten even though it was midnight. She waited for the arrival of her husband, who had still insulted her.
Wiping her sobs away, Charlotte remembered how Jack had kissed her so differently - sweetly and passionately, and she wanted to have him bare in her arms, and to feel his masculine body on her and to mate with him if Teddy hadn't interrupted them.
Smiling sadly, Charlotte uncorked the wine bottle, popped the champagne, and filled two different wine glasses. She wanted to enjoy herself alone before she would go back to her bedroom to sleep.
Charlotte didn't want to share a bed with Teddy. Usually, Teddy didn't use to sleep in the master bedroom with her. But she saw him take Anne into the master bedroom, and she heard him mating with Anne.
Charlotte knew about the mating bond power in the Norfield Pack. If a mate should cheat on his second half, the mate would feel the pain, and that was why Teddy had never mated with her because Anne would feel the pain.
Teddy avoided touching Charlotte for four years, but this night, now that he saw his elder brother was back, Charlotte was shocked at how passionately Teddy was kissing her, and he wanted to mate with her too, if she hadn't escaped his touch.
"What's wrong with Teddy? Did he think that he can fool me?" Charlotte muttered, as she sat at the dining table, drinking the red wine in her glass cup, and eating the fried chicken too.
Teddy hadn't removed the mind link with Charlotte's mind, so he heard what she said, as he stepped out of their bedroom, looking for her.
"I'm going to divorce Teddy tomorrow, whether he accepts it or not. I will never be his Luna or wife again," As Charlotte said that, she felt goosebumps on her back.
Staring behind her back at the flight of stairs in the living room, Charlotte saw Teddy standing there shirtless, and looking at her with eyes full of rage.
Charlotte quickly looked away from Teddy and focused on her dinner, feeling her innocent heart pounding in her chest, as she focused on finishing her food.
Teddy took the flight of stairs and came downstairs to meet Charlotte. He was surprised to see the dining table set up, with a red tablecloth, like a dinner date for couple, and a candle stand was there. And also, seeing Charlotte in her pink seductive nightdress, she looked more beautiful sitting there alone, drinking the wine and eating the fried chicken laps in her hand.
Teddy didn't say a word to Charlotte as he knew she was angry with him. She was his wife, and she had never done anything wrong to him, except for this night that she kissed his older brother and also pushed him away from mating with her.
Silently, Teddy strolled up to the dining table to join Charlotte, as he was hungry too, and he saw the love card on the dining table, written, "Happy anniversary to us."
Teddy's hands trembled as he picked up the red card and gazed at it.
Charlotte had prepared all of these before his arrival, like the good wife that she was to him. But he ignored it all, disrespected her, and brought his true lover and mate to their home.
