Charlotte was lying on her bed in the room when she heard the door slide open. She had heard the noise earlier but was uninterested in finding out who it was.
As she turned on her bed and looked at the door, she saw Teddy walk into her room, followed by his mother.
"Ma," Charlotte immediately rose from the bed, thinking that Teddy had brought his mother to talk to her. She bowed her head and greeted Lady Sandra.
"Charlotte, how are you doing?" Lady Sandra walked ahead to meet Charlotte. She pitied her after hearing that the young woman had lost her first pregnancy after years of childlessness.
"I'm fine, Ma," Charlotte smiled, and Lady Sandra knew that Charlotte had been acting strong despite the fact that she had been going through a lot living with her stubborn son.
