"WHAT!" I yelled at Lucas. I had dragged him back to his room and pushed him on to his bed.

"You like it rough don't you," he said.

"Hush!" I exclaimed. " Tell me everything you know."

"Okay, well I know that guy Alaric is a liar and did this to us," he began.

"How?" I questioned.

"Well last time we were here he was also giving us something to drink right before," he explained.

"Last time," I said. "You knew. I mean you were really here not some dream version or fake," I said brokenly. "Yes, I am so sorry I didn't say anything but I didn't know what to say or do," he replied. " I was trying to figure it all out too." He was telling me this when all of a sudden his door swings open and slams shut soon after.

"Faith is asleep," Aidan says. " You didn't think I was going to leave you alone with her."

"You left her," I said.

"Hope, Faith is... Faith is dead and your very much alive and I have to keep you safe," he said. I ran to give him a kiss and he kissed me back eagerly.

"I'm still here guys," Lucas said.

"Now Lucas tell us what you know," Aidan demanded.

"I don't know much but what I can understand is we are being put in some trance or deep sleep by this Alaric guy," Lucas said. " I think the less we drink of what he gave us the more we can be conscious of what is happening. That's why last time Aidan you didn't remember Hope and just probably move through this world like it was a dream. After we fought the rogues Alaric insisted we go to a bar before heading home. We all drank but I only had 1 shot before stopping. I don't know why he is doing it but it is him alright. Can't be a coincidence he was there both times this happened. Especially when both times we were drinking something he handed us."

"Okay, so how did he get Hope here the 1st time," Aidan said.

"I met him at a club. Well I mean first at my job but then at a club and I was already drinking but no wait he drove me here. I felt you were hurt and I wanted to be with you and see you. He drove me here and offered me water," I said. I finished explaining everything about that night and Aidan slammed his fist into the wall.

"That bastard," Lucas said.

"He's a dead man," Aidan replied.

"But why is he doing this?" I asked.

"He could want to take my pack or kill us all. It doesn't even matter. I will stop him," Aidan said.

"Sleep on the couch or outside, I don't care," Aidan spat. He grabbed me and pushed me to get in bed. He laid next to me and caressed my head. Lucas went out of the room and a few minutes later I heard a wolf howl outside. I tried to fall asleep but I was afraid of what was happening in the real world while we were all stuck here. I eventually fell asleep with Aidan's warm hands embracing me through the night.

When I woke up I was alone. I knew he probably had to get back to Faith. I was a little hurt by this but I couldn't let myself dwell on it. I went to take a shower and got dressed for breakfast. I put on a simple sage spaghetti strap short wrap dress. I walked towards the elevator and noticed Aidan stepping out of his bedroom. He walked towards the elevator and my heart began to race. We stood next to each other in silence and he pushed the doors to close.

"You look very beautiful," he said.

"Thank you," I said. "This is so weird. I wish I could be doing more than just getting ready to eat breakfast. I want to get out and stop this mad man."

"Hope," Aidan said as he turned around to face me. "You and I will get out of this world and live our lives.

He leaned in to give me a kiss and I melted in his arms.

"I feel like we are doing something wrong," I said.

"I know," he said softly.  He went out of the elevator first and I soon followed. Faith was already sitting down at the table. She was wearing a red polka dot jumpsuit. Aidan went over and gave her a kiss on the forehead. She smiled and kissed the top of his hand.

"I'm starving," Faith said.

"Let's eat," Aidan replied. He was much warmer with her than with anyone but less affectionate. I wondered if it was the same behind closed doors. I started to blush and looked down at my plate.

"Stop daydreaming about me dear," Lucas said. He leaned down to give me a kiss on the cheek and I turned even redder. Aidan looked pissed but just distracted himself with food.

"Why do you all look so serious?" Faith asked. No one answered her but I looked at her and gave her a reassuring smile. Suddenly we hearing screaming and laughter echoing through the halls. Ruby and Sarah made their way to the dining room and shouted "Happy Birthday!" I was stunned and wondered who they were talking to. I looked around the table and Faith had her face buried in her waffles.

"Faith, it's your birthday today?" I asked.

"DUH," Ruby and Sarah said together. Aidan looked sad. He quickly got up and walked out of the room.

"Did he forget?" Ruby asked.

"I think so," Faith replied.

"I'm sure he didn't," I said.

"Yeah," she said uncertainly.

"Faith!" Aidan yelled from the hall. We all stood scared straight by that roar and Faith quickly got up and ran to him.

"You're not going to like this," Lucas said to me. He pulled me out of my chair and walked me outside. We were heading to the garden when I heard a loud roar. I felt my body burn from the inside.

"Faith," I said in a cold harsh tone. "Get undressed." She did as I said like she normally would. I was unsure of what to do. Every morning on her birthday I lean over to wake her up and make love to her until she can't take it anymore. Most nights we made love very gently and softly until her body was sore. I think she would have preferred we stop after the first or second time but on her birthdays I think she enjoyed to be taken to the highest of highs. I didn't know today was her birthday and I had slipped in twenty minutes before Hope and Faith woke up. I knew I had to leave but I didn't want to let my grip around Hope go. I didn't know what I was doing and my wolf was unsure as well but he didn't want to hurt Hope. As Faith stood there naked in front of me I began to doubt if I could go through with this. If you would have asked me a couple of months ago I wouldn't have hesitated. Hope or no Hope. I went over to Faith and grabbed her by her hair. I pulled her in rough for a kiss and she began to moan in my mouth.

"Tell me you want me," I said.

"I.. I ... I want ..I want you," she finally managed to get out. As much as Faith enjoyed these birthday s****l adventures. She was still so timid and scared. I push her down to her knees. She is trembling and nervous. Her eyes plead to continue so I do. I unbutton my jeans and let her pull them down. I tell her to take it out and she does. She was always more frightened by my member than by me. She took a minute to touch it but she finally closed her hand around it and stroked. She was hesitant to do anything more so I grabbed her head and guided her closer to it. She slowly opened her mouth and let it inside. She was starting to move faster but was still timid to give it her all. I thought about the last time I had this encounter. Hope was definitely not shy about taking it all in. I shook my head to dismiss those thoughts from my brain. I picked her up and placed her on the bed. I got on top of her and began to rub my member on her entrance. She was whimpering and crying for more. I took a deep breath and pushed inside her. I went as hard and as fast as I could. Her tiny figure is jerking at my thrusts. She was in pleasure and agony. She shouts my name numerous times. As wrong as this feels it also feels right. I could never explain it to anyone. They would have to be in the same position as I am now. My first love is underneath me feeling all of me inside her. My new love is outside writhing in pain. I felt awful but I didn't know a better solution. If this wasn't real, did it really count? I thought. "God forgive me." I kept the motions going until I felt my release. I got off of her and she was surprised I did not continue. I got up from the bed and picked her up. I placed her on the bathroom sink and went to turn on the water for the tub. I waited until it was half-filled with warm water and placed her inside. I stepped in behind her and began to wash her.

"My heart, my heart hurts so much," I could barely speak but I grabbed Lucas by the collar of his polo so I wouldn't fall.

"I know, I'm sorry. It happens every year on her birthday," Lucas said. He lifted my head to meet his eyes and I wanted to cry. I grabbed his face and started to kiss Lucas. It was slow at first and then started to pick up. Lucas moved his hands to my waist and gripped my dress tight in his fingers. He was starting to kiss me faster and more fiercely but I pulled away.

"Oh my god, I'm sorry. I can't," I cried out. I ran away from him and into the forest. My body was still on fire and my blood was boiling. My stomach was turning and in knots. I wanted to throw up. I ran and ran until I was out of breath. I fell to my knees and just let out a loud scream that echoed through the forest. I started to feel weak and I fell to the ground.

  When I woke up I didn't know how much time had past but I realized I was in a bedroom. I looked around and I noticed familiar furniture. I saw that chair, throne more like it. I knew I was in Aidan's room. I quickly got up from the bed and looked for him. No one was in the room so I walked to the door but suddenly it opened before I could reach the doorknob.

"You," I said shocked at the man standing in front of me.

"Well look at you, "Alaric said. "Alive and well."

"What do you want?" I asked impatiently.

"You," he said. I looked at him with a confused expression. "You Hope will be everything I have ever dreamed of. Soon very soon." 

"Aidan would never let anything happen to me," I said.

"He is a bit tied up at the moment, is he not?" he said. I wondered if he knew what happened in that other world.

"Where is he?" I asked.

"Still asleep," he responded. "I am very amused by you. You should still be asleep as well. How do you manage to break free from my hold?" He placed his hand on my face and caressed my cheek with his thumb. "In another world maybe I would leave you as you are."

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Here, I have something to take care but you enjoy these," Alaric said while handing me a stack of letters wrapped in a silk blue ribbon. I looked at the letters and I went to go sit on Aidan's chair. I undid the ribbon and grabbed the first letter and placed the stack on the side table.

My dearest Faith,

I wanted to get to know you before I came to get you and bring you back to our home. I know it is a strange concept to love someone you have not met and who is not your true mate but I will hope that in time you can grow to love me. I have seen a few pictures and I have grown to admire your spirit. I know you are shy and keep to yourself but I want you to open up to me. I want to show you all the wonders this world has to offer. I want to protect you and cherish you. Please take the time to come to terms with our arrangement. I will never harm you and you need not fear what's to come. I will show how devote I already am.

I opened the next letter and it was from Faith to Alaric.

Alaric,

I wish I could say I understand or agree with my Alpha's laws but I don't. We are not taught or told anything about mates because we know that will never be a reality for us. My mother still told me about it because she was able to meet her mate before this law came into effect. I want to believe everything you say is true but how can you love me more than my mate. I know I don't have much of a choice and I will try. I guess that's all I can do. I want to stay with my parents so if you can allow them to come with me or visit frequently when I go. I would appreciate that very much. Your words are very kind and I will look forward to the next letter.

I kept reading the letters. They got more romantic from Alaric's point of view. Faith was hesitant to say anything flirty or suggestive. They were getting to know each other. Faith was telling him all about her fears of men. In one letter she mentioned all the men in her pack were mean and aggressive. They looked at her in ways that made her feel uncomfortable. She then became more open and happy at the thought of Alaric taking her away from her pack. She hated it there. She would gradually express some fondness of him. I finally got to the last two letters.

My dearest Faith,

Soon my love, Soon I will be there and take you away. You will love my home. I have set up an art room and sewing room for you. There is so much light and everyone will be kind to you. I can't wait to see you and hold you. I will give you everything you have ever dreamed of. We will live happy for the rest of our days. I am counting the days my love. There is so much we have left to say and I will cherish those moments when we can talk by the gardens. Embrace one another until the hours have come and gone. I will make it so you have no worries and suffer no longer. I promise you my love, my life and my all.

Alaric,

My alpha is saying I will be sold to another. I am scared and I don't know what to do. My parents are so scared and so am I. Alaric I don't want to go with him. He is scary and is always yelling. I want to go with you. Please come and get me. Alaric I want to be with you. My parents are saying we will run away if you don't come soon. We have no choice. I fear my parents will be killed if they try to stop him from taking me. I don't want to go with anyone but you. Alaric please come.

I didn't realize I had started crying. I put all the letters down and walked over to the bed. A few minutes later Alaric comes back in.

"I see you have read my letters," he says.

"You loved her," I said softly.

"I did and I think she would have fallen in love with me," he said. " I didn't make it in time as you must very well know. She ran away took refuge within this pack and met her mate."

"I'm sorry, I really am but why come here now," I said.

"She died and I can not accept that," he said. " I will bring her back and our love will live on."
