A moment with her

988 Words
Today is a weekend. I was working at the café. My part-time job requires me to work on alternating days. But I burst out laughing at the image that had been playing on my thoughts. Tanya is shown sporting a cat picture apron. I've never seen her appear so out of character. She is rather adorable for this. I paused for a moment. Pretty cute, I remarked. And what about Tanya? Dude, hold your horses. "Do you perhaps know that people are still staring at you?" One of my coworkers, Rishabh, whispers to me. I grab my ear and gaze at him. "don't just come closer to me or girls will be jealous" "Narcissist much?" he slapped my back. "Well, you are so popular that people come in at any time, and because of you, our wages have been raised. Thank you, man," his eyes showed hearts. "I'm not gay so keep that eyes away from me" "You are so mean..." I nodded happily. Rishabh is actually homosexual and already has a partner. But man, his partner is so nice that I sometimes get carried away by his attractions. Well, I'm Straight. That's my fault. People assess me fast based on my character. I always behave properly. I told you that previously. I don't care what they say; we shouldn't mind people's counsel, but we shouldn't believe all they say. I was changing into my clothes as my shifts finished when one female accidently barged in. "OH MY GOD" "Sunidhi, not again" "It's not my fault; you should have locked the door. "It's a communal area for all coworkers; how do I locked the door?" "so you should have gone for restroom to change" "oh, but i thought it will not take much time change" "Brother, you're being noisy again," she said, taking out the marker and writing something on the whiteboard. She is jotting down her off day. "Well, I'm not being nosy," I smirked at her and collected my bag. "Do you want to go with me?" I questioned her, and she insisted that I wait for her until she had changed into her clothing. Okay, our connection is sister/brother. She is three years younger than me and only has her aunt and uncle. She wants to do her own thing, and I'm truly proud of her. She constantly helps me cover my shifts, and I help her with her studies. Yeah, I study too, and I'm not a playboy; they merely attached that name to me. Again, this is not my fault. "Well, Vihaan bhaiya," I hummed while swiping through my phone. "I was being bullied by someone," she said, I glanced at her. She was staring at road, as if she was telling me something cool stuff. "Are you okay?" I questioned her, keeping my phone in my pocket. "Yes, I am. That is why I am here today. But do you know who attempted to help me but got bullied instead? "who?" "A girl from the upper floor." She was really on our floor ffor work, but she witnessed something in the janitor closet, where I was being bullied by people of my age. She attempted to save me, and I fled away." She paused for a moment. "but i think she got bullied after me" "so how is she, you tried to meet her afterwards?" "yes, i tried to but i didn't know what class did she belongs too?" "Ah, that may be the case. Try every day, and if she sees you, apologize to her. Okay?" '' yes" "I want to go see her too" "Ahein...already have a crush on her," I whacked her on the head. She whimpers. "Brat, she rescued you, isn't my thing to express gratitude to her" "Oh, my prince brother, how sweet," she said, making it impossible for me to go along this road. . I was in school, where lectures had begun, but my thoughts were preoccupied with yesterday's Sunidhi remarks. Who tried to bully her? She is such a brave kid that she did not hesitate to tell me everything and had a grin on her face. She is indeed a mature girl. I felt compelled to defend her. "Vihaan, read the lines from the second paragraph." I moved on from my thoughts and began reading the words as my lecturer instructed. “When you fall in love, it is temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake, and then it subsides. And when it subsides, you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots are to become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the desire to mate every second of the day. It is not lying awake at night imagining that he is kissing every part of your body. No … don’t blush. I am telling you some truths. For that is just being in love, which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away. Doesn’t sound very exciting, does it? But it is!” Oh well, I've read this novel before; she's a great author, and this was her last book. I hope she was pleased with how her novel turned out to be quite emotional. Well, books are my thing. Lectures were done, and I planned to see Sunidhi during a break. Yeah, she also studies here. But suddenly a notification showed up. "Bhai, have you seen the school forum? She was the one who saved me. I closed the chat app and went to the campus forum, where there was a video of a student getting bullied...Like what? I turned around, and there she was, watching her videos of being tormented. She then looked around, and our gazes met.
