The Messiah In Black

Chapter Nine

William’s POV:

So as we got to the bloody land of the dead, we appeared on the streets of London, we had to get to Manhattan to know if Tracy and the mystery woman was okay or if they’ve been captured by Shadow Demons.

I imagined a car as me and Ada got into it and I drove all the way to Manhattan and found the fashion store, we got into the store and got to the hall but no one was there,

“They’re bloody gone!”

I said as Ada walked to the center of the hall and said

“I can track their energy signature but it may attract unwanted attention”

“Do it”

I said as Ada closed her eyes and casted a spell and tracked them, she was able to track them because the dead emitted a kind of energy, Ada opened her eyes and said

“I’ve tracked Tracy down to a factory in San Francisco”

“Let’s go”

I said as Ada opened up a portal and we both jumped into it, we got to a factory in San Francisco and Tracy saw and ran towards us and hugged me

“Oh I’m so glad to see you again”

“Well so am I, how’d you get here?”

I asked and she answered

“Well as the shadow demons were about to capture us, a strange portal opened and took the woman, I was able to use the distraction and get myself here”

“Lemme guess with the power of imagination?”

Ada asked as Tracy just smiled and said

“Yeah”

“Well we have to find her, Ada can you track that energy signature?”

I asked as Ada looked at me and said

“I noticed a strange energy signature when we were at the store but I wasn’t sure on what it was, I can track it but it’s gonna take time”

Ada sat on the floor as she began mediating, I took Tracy to a corner and asked

“Why here, why did you come to this factory?”

“Becauses I had good memories here, I used to be happy before everything went to s**t, I might be upbeat but that doesn’t mean I’m happy on the inside”

“Yeah, I can relate”

“Oh the Messiah has human feelings now huh?”

She said as we both laughed and then I said

“Well forget the powers I also have my own struggles, I keep up the Messiah figure for the audience but William Scott isn’t always happy and has issues of his own”

“It must be hard”

“Yeah it bloody is but I keep pushing trying to get over it”

I said as Tracy just looked at me and sighed, she looked worried and asked

“Well William if anyone’s got this, it’s you”

I just smiled and said

“Thanks Dear”

I hugged her as she just smiled, Ada finished meditating and got up from the floor, Me and Tracy walked towards her

“I found her” Said Ada

“Where’s She?” I asked

“In the forests of Saliack” Answered Ada

“Forest of what?” Asked Tracy

“Saliack, it’s a place where the barrier between life and death is tiniest, there’s a bridge after the forest, anyone who crosses it can come back to life” Answered Ada

“There’s a catch though, you’ll have to avoid shadow demons and soul devourers to get there”

I said as Tracy just looked at me and said

“Well this just got a whole lot complicated”

“And dangerous, Tracy you’ve gotta get outta here, shadow demons will be here any minute” I said

“No I’m coming with you” Said Tracy

“Am sorry but it’s too dangerous I can’t let you come, I guess it’s bye for now”

I said as Ada opened up a portal and we both walked into it but Tracy followed us by jumping into the portal before it closed,

We got to the forest but I saw Tracy with us,

“Tracy what are you doing here? I thought I told you that you should not to come with us” I said

“Well you know me, always the stubborn one” Tracy said

We heard a screeching sound as Ada noticed some shadow demons heading our way, she told us to hid and we did, the shadow demons roamed around the place and after a while they left,

“Whew that was close” Tracy said

“Let’s go”

I said as we all walked to the North-Eastern part of the forest, it was a long walk as we avoided shadow demons, Tracy was admiring the beauty of the forest,

We got to a waterfall and saw the woman, she was with another woman as they both saw us, the other was shocked when she saw us as she wanted to cast a spell but I blasted her with an energy beam before she could move,

The mystery woman was frightened but she tried to maintain her composure, although she obviously seemed confused, I went closer to her as she touched my face and then Ada noticed something and said

“A soul devourer is coming!”

“We gotta go”

I said and we ran towards the bridge which was after the waterfall, I took the mystery woman with me, when we got to the bridge, Tracy stopped and said

“Sorry I can’t cross”

“Why?” I asked

“Because I’m dead and I want it to stay that way” Tracy answered

“I can’t lose you again” I said

“I know”

Tracy said as she hugged me and then Ada opened up a portal and Tracy jumped into it and disappeared

“Don’t worry I took her to her house in the land of the dead”

Ada said and then we ran towards the bridge and as we were almost at the end of it, I saw the other woman running towards us, we got to the end of the bridge as there was a bright light,

I opened my eyes and we were back to the land of the living, I got up to see myself in my bedroom as Ada woke up too but the mystery woman wasn’t with us,

Ada casted a location spell and found the woman in New Orleans, she opened a portal as we jumped into it and appeared at New Orleans,

We tracked her to a bar and saw her sitting and looking at the window, She was wearing a white robe, when she saw us she smiled and then we walked towards her and sat beside her,

“So who the bloody hell are you?” I asked

“Oh am so glad I get to see you again William, my son” She said softly

“Ok woman what the bloody hell are you yapping about?” I asked getting frustrated

“There’s a lot you don’t know but we gotta go before she finds us” She said

“The other woman?” Ada asked

“Yes, she’s a witch that goes by the name Isabel, she’s my sister” She said

“And what’s your name?” Ada asked

“Mirabel” She answered

“Well Mirabel, we gotta go”

I said as we stood up and was about to leave but Isabel walked into the bar and saw us

“What do you want Isabel?” I asked

“Oh kid she hasn’t told you yet? I want your power!”

She answered and then she casted a spell killing everyone in the bar, Ada used telekinesis to push her away and then opened up a portal and we jumped into it,

We got to the pocket dimension and then Ada casted a spell that sent a wave of energy around the pocket dimension and then she said

“I’ve covered our tracks she won’t be able to find us for now”

I turned to Mirabel and asked

“Alright Mirabel tell me what the bloody hell is going on?”

Mirabel sighed and said

“When you were born, my sister saw that you had great power, she wanted that power for herself so in order to protect you I ran away but the church found me and told me about an ancient prophecy and that you’re the Messiah, in order to protect you from my sister I gave you to the church”

“How do I know you’re telling me the truth?” I asked

“Oh William, I know I gave you up but I did that to protect you, I’m sorry I haven’t been here but I’m here now and I’m not going to let anything happen to you”

She said and then I took Ada to a corner and asked

“Do you think she’s telling the truth?”

“Well yes I think she is but there’s something more” Answered Ada

“We’ll deal with her later but what are we going to do about Isabel?” I asked

“Well she has the intent of killing us all that’s for sure, she’s extremely powerful” Said Ada

“Well I can resurrect any of us if need be but something about Isabel’s aura is off and that freighten’s me” I said

“Yeah I noticed it too, something about Isabel is off, she doesn’t seem like a normal witch, she reeks of something more ancient” said Ada

“Well whatever it is, we’ll defeat it together”

I said as I held her hand, Ada just smiled at me as we were both looking at each other before Mirabel shouted

“Hey! Something’s happening”

We both ran towards her and when we got close, we saw the pocket dimension cracking, it turns out that the reality of the pocket dimension is dying, someone is destroying it from the outside,

“It’s Isabel, that what she does, everywhere she goes reeks of death” said Mirabel

I and Ada looked at each other and just before the pocket dimension was completely destroyed, Ada opened a portal and got us out of there.

We got to my house in London but I was worried because Isabel could find us at any minute and then something crossed my mind, I knew we were never going to outrun her, if I was going to die I will go down fighting, not that I was afraid of death anyways,

A dark portal opened up right in front of my house and Isabel walked out of it, Ada uses dark Magic but Isabel’s magical signature was completely different from her's, this wasn’t just darkness anymore, it was something else,

Isabel walked towards us as she used her telekinesis to break all my glass doors and windows, we all ducked avoiding the glass pieces from hitting us,

Ada got up and blasted darkness towards her and she countered with her own blast, I aided Ada and we overpowered her as she was pushed backwards, I looked at Ada and said

“If we’re going down, we go down together”

Ada nodded and Isabel got up, I went closer to her and held her, Ada used a force field to protect herself and Mirabel as I released a huge wave of energy from my body that destroyed my house and burnt Isabel,

After the deed was done, Ada removed the force field as I walked closer to them thinking it was over but Isabel got up as her skin was healing from the effects of my attack, a normal human or a witch shouldn’t survive that attack but she did,

“How?” I asked

“Oh kid, you don’t know s**t”

Isabel said as she started walking towards me, I blasted a beam of energy at her but she powered through it, She came close to me and put her hand right in my chest grabbing my heart,

“Oh yes!”

She said as she was absorbing my power, Ada pushed her away with telekinesis as Mirabel grabbed me before I could fall to the ground,

“William! Are you okay?” Asked Mirabel

“Never better” I said

Ada was fighting Isabel with darkness but it was only a matter of time before she would be overwhelmed by Isabel’s raw power, Ada knew Isabel was more powerful so she opened up a portal and Issel jumped out of it,

“What the bloody hell?” I exclaimed in surprise

“Have fun”

Ada said as she opened up another portal as we all got into it before Isabel could catch up with us, the last thing I saw before the portal closed up was Issel attacking Isabel,

I knew Issel wanted to kill me but ironically he just saved my ass.
