Chapter Six

William’s POV:
So there we stood, face to face with the bloody angelic possessed guards, I clenched my fists ready for anything but I was terrified as I didn’t know what to expect, I’ve never fought any supernatural being before especially not angels, so this was kinda new to me,
Ada on the other hand is clearly experienced, if she survived three hundred and twenty seven years on this bloody planet then she must have had a lot of battle experience especially the supernatural ones, considering she’s a witch,
The angels were ready to attack as one of them was holding a sword humming with divine energy, I could somehow feel that energy and it’s entirely different from mine,
The tension raises as there was an earthquake, due to the pocket dimension being unstable, after it stopped I came forward and asked
“Who are you people and why are you after me?”
The one with the sword stepped forward, pointed his sword towards me and said
“You are a threat to humanity and you must be eradicated”
“What bloody nonsense are you talking about? I am a threat? I do the bloody work of God here on this f****d up planet, I resurrect the dead and heal the bloody sick and you say I’m a threat? You must be outta your bloody mind mate”
I said as the second one stepped forward and said
“You think you do the work of God while all you do is the work of the devil”
“And you must be?”
I asked and he said
“I’m Issel and he’s Hectel”
He points to the one with the sword and then I said
“Well angel Issel and Hectel, you both have committed blasphemy and must be punished for it and if God doesn’t do it, then I’ll do it”
“You dare!”
Issel yelled and charged toward me, I just raised up my arm and blasted him off with an energy blast, he flew backwards and landed on the floor,
Hectel’s sword charged up with divine energy as he ran towards me, Ada stepped in right in front of me and created a force field made of darkness but Hectel used his sword to slice through it like paper,
The force sent me and Ada to flying backwards, I quickly got up as Issel got up with his chest burnt, he charged up an energy blast and blasted it towards me, I dodged but he kept on attacking, I was put on the defensive,
Ada created spikes made of shadows and sent them towards Hectel but he used his sword to slice through all of them and jumped at Ada but Ada opened up a portal as he accidentally jumped into it, Ada closed the portal and took him somewhere else far away from the pocket dimension,
I and Issel blasted energy beams at each other, we both dodged each other’s attacks but then we entered a beam struggle, He was pretty strong and powerful as I couldn’t overpower him, I mean for someone possessing a human body he must have packed a punch,
Ada blasted him with darkness as he fell to the ground, I and Ada started a relentless assault on him, we both went on the offensive as he was put on the defensive, Ada tried portalling him away but he saw it coming and dodged the attack,
“If he goes all out he won’t be able to fight for much longer, the human body can only withstand some of his power”
Ada said as I looked at her then I said
“Meaning he’ll either get exhausted of die if he goes full power, I think I’ve got an idea”
Suddenly, there was a rift in the fabric of space time as Hectel jumped out of it,
“Oh bloody hell”
I said as I saw him, he immediately attacked Ada as he tried to cut her with his sword but Ada blocked the attack with a force field but was sent flying backwards, the two angels decided to 2 v 1 me but I was able to hold my own for a while,
Hectel pinned me to the ground and wanted to stab me with his sword but I released a huge wave of energy from my body that sent everyone flying, Hectel and Issel’s body where burnt but their angelic power still kept them alive,
Ada rejoined the match as she blasted Hectal with darkness, she tried to portal him away but he sliced through the portal with his sword, I have never fought an angel until now but something tells me that these two are high level angels,
Ada quickly forged a sword outta darkness and took on Hectel in a sword fight, Issel and I went on a beam fight, it got to a point that Issel just jumped towards me and punched me in the face,
My nose was instantly broken and I was sent flying backwards into a pile of rocks, I got up but I was bleeding from the nose and I got angry and engaged him in a fist fight, it was brutal and bloody,
I was able to land some good hits and even used my energy to enhance the impact of my punches but he’s punches would have killed me if not for my powers, he enhanced the impact of his punch with his energy and it made me fly backwards a couple of meters before landing on the floor,
Ada tried to stab Hectel but he dodged it and stabbed her but that was an illusion created by Ada, Hectel realized this only to turn back and the real Ada stabbed him, he fell to the floor but wasn’t dead yet,
Ada wanted to finish him off but then he blinded her with his holy light, well it’s technically a bright light flashed right before her eyes but due to it’s divine nature it blinded her, Ada couldn’t see a thing and this gave Hectel the opportunity to recover,
I was able to blast Issel with an energy blast that sent him flying backwards, I quickly ran towards Ada and healed her so she could see again,
“I don’t need my eyes to fight”
She said but I just looked at her and shaked my head and then I asked
“How the bloody hell are we supposed to take out these guys?”
“If we flee they’ll follow us, we have to kill them both”
“How the bloody hell are we supposed to do that?”
“We can’t kill an angel as we don’t possess that kind of power but since they’re possessing human bodies, we destroy the hosts and the angels go back to heaven”
“Sounds like a plan but in order to do this, we must go all out”
“Agreed, this is it William, the fight for survival”
Ada said and we both took on the angels with everything we’ve got, the angels couldn’t risk going all out and that was our advantage, Issel blasted a beam of energy towards me and I blasted a beam of energy towards him, Ada blasted darkness towards Hectel and Hectel wanted to use his sword to stab her as he jumped,
But somehow everything collided as my beam, Issel’s beam, Ada’s darkness and Hectel sword tip collided in on point and it caused an explosion, I guess we were all going in one direction,
The explosion knocked me out as I saw myself in the hospital and then I saw a woman which was the same woman I saw in my flashback but this time she was standing right in front of me, she raised her arm forward and extended her hand towards me,
I started hearing Ada’s voice as the woman slowly disappeared and turned into Ada who was in front of me, I had just woken up as Ada was calling my name,
“What happened?”
I asked and she answered
“Our beams collide creating an explosion that sent everyone flying and here we are”
I got up and asked
“What about the angels?”
“I’ve see no sign of them”
Ada answered but suddenly Hectel jumped towards her and my eyes immediately glowed and I stretched out my hand towards him and suddenly he left the body as it just fell on the ground like an empty corpse,
It seems like I’ve just forcefully removed him from the body, I was shocked and so was everyone, On seeing this, Issel took Hectel’s sword and created a rift then he looked at me and said
“This isn’t over yet!”
Then he jumped inside and left, I and Ada just looked at each other as we were both shocked
“Seems like you’ve unlocked another ability”
Ada said and then I asked
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah am fine, are you?”
“Yeah, aren’t we gonna go after him?”
“No, let him go, when he comes back we’ll be ready for him”
Ada said as I just looked at her without saying anything, she looked at me and asked
“How did you do that?”
“I don’t know I just did”
“Looks like you need to train yourself in order to be able to master your abilities”
“Well for now we’ve gotta find that woman in my flashback”
“You saw her again didn’t you?”
“Yeah when I was knocked out”
“I see”
Ada opened up a portal and we both walked into it, we appeared at my house in London, Ada took the drawing I made of the woman and tried using a location spell to find her but she was nowhere to be found, Ada couldn’t find her and if that’s the case that means the woman must be dead,
Ada decided to try out a more intense ritual, she drew magical symbols on the floor and sat in the middle of it, she also surrounded herself with candles and lit them all,
She summoned a grimoire (spell book) then closed her eyes and casted a spell, a soft wind blew around her and something strange happened, I felt it as a dark presence was in the building,
Ada bled from the nose as the candles was blown off by the wind, the wind was getting stronger and that was when I saw it, it was a shadow standing right in front of Ada,
I wanted to do something but Ada told me not to, after a while the shadow disappeared and Ada opened her eyes and was about to fall but I caught her, I sat on the floor with her on my arms,
“Ada, are you okay?”
“I.. someone is… blocking her path, whoever they are, they’re preventing me from.. reaching the woman in your flashbacks”
She answered weakly, she wanted to try the spell again but I stopped her and said
“Ada you need to rest, I’ll heal you but it seems you’ve lost a lot of your life force, you need to rest”
“But…”
“But nothing”
I said and then I carried her to my room and lay her down on my bed, I healed her and allowed her to rest, I left the room and later on came back but she was still asleep, I just sat on the chair beside my bed and waited for her to wake up,
After a while she woke up and the first thing she saw was me, She just smiled and said
“I told you to let me cast the spell”
“You mean to let you risk your life, no way I still need you until all this is over”
I said and she smiled, she got up from the bed and looked at me then she said
“Nice job, you really held your own against those angels”
“Thanks but one of them got away”
“Because we let him get away”
Ada said as I looked at her, I could clearly see that something is wrong, maybe it’s a side effect of the spell, she seems like someone who’s having a hungover,
We both went downstairs and Ada somehow got the keys to my car and portaled herself into it, I didn’t even notice as I was busy preparing something for her in the kitchen,
She drove off into the streets and when I noticed it was too late,
“Oh bloody hell”
I said as I was just standing in the middle of the street hoping she won’t get herself killed, whatever spell she casted had a mental side effect.
