Chapter Seven

William’s POV:
I was able to track down Ada to a restaurant, I placed trackers on all of my cars so I was able to use my phone to track down the car she stole,
I got to the restaurant as she was busy eating and drinking, when she saw me she smiled and said
“Where have you been? I’ve been waiting for you”
I just sat down in front of her as she was still eating, she then turned to the waiter and said while pointing at me
“Here he is, my boyfriend, he’ll pay for everything I took”
“Excuse me?”
I didn’t even know when I said that because I was so surprised at what she just said, like she thinks I’m her boyfriend! Bloody hell,
“Oh my love don’t be like that”
She said looking at me with puppy eyes, I didn’t even know what to do as I just looked at the waiter and smiled then I looked back at her as she continued eating,
After she had finished eating, I paid the bill and we both left, I wanted to take her home but she immediately portaled herself away,
“Where the bloody hell is she going now”
I said as I looked up and saw her at the top roof of a building, dancing
“This woman is gonna be the end of me”
I said as I walked towards the building, went up to the roof and immediately she saw me she grabbed my hands before I could say anything, she said
“Dance with me”
She pulled me and we started dancing, well she was the one doing most of the dancing, I just stood there and looked at her,
“What the bloody hell is wrong with you”
I was wondering as I looked at her, she turned and fell into my arms and then she looked at the night sky and said
“Isn’t it beautiful?”
I looked at the sky and then I just lifted her up and carried her downstairs, we got to the car as I opened the door and put her in the back, I got in and drove home,
When we got home, I took her to my room as she was feeling sleepy, I put her on the bed and as I wanted to leave, she grabbed me and pulled me closer to her,
“Stay with me”
She whispered, I just looked at her as she drew me closer and kissed me, I wanted to go with the flow but then I pushed her away and immediately got up,
“Stay with me please”
She said weakly and then she slept off, I just looked at her as I was confused, I didn’t know what to do so I just left, I slept at the guest room that night.
The next morning, I went to my room to see how she was doing and as I opened the door, she woke up and realizing where she was, she quickly looked at and asked
“Did anything happen between…”
“Nothing happened”
I interrupted her before she could finish the question and then I said
“Looks like you’re back to yourself, you were acting weird yesterday, that bloody spell must have did a number on you”
“Yeah it did, it was a side effect, it turns out something is blocking me from finding that woman, I couldn’t find her in the world of the living so I tried to find her in the world of the dead”
“And instead of finding her you found that shadow entity”
“What shadow entity?”
She asked and then I took a pencil and drew the shadow entity I saw when she was doing the ritual, when she saw the picture she recognized it and then I asked
“If there’s anything you’re not telling me I suggest you start talking, what is that thing?”
She sighed and then she said
“You wanna know about your origin right? Well you better sit down for this”
I sat on the chair and she sat on the bed and then she said
“Three Hundred years ago when I was starting out as a witch, I met a dark entity, it didn’t tell me it’s name but I called it the Abbys, it told me about you and the prophecy, I was tasked with protecting you and helping you fulfill your destiny, when I was preforming the ritual I sensed something, I knew searching for someone in the land of the dead was going to have consequences but I was ready for anything”
“Were you really ready?”
“Yes I was, I told you not to do anything because it was going to interrupt the spell I was casting, I didn’t know that it was this entity that was preventing me from finding that woman in your flashbacks, this entity you saw is like the same one I met three hundred years ago, I don’t know why they’re hiding her whereabouts but I know this, whatever your destiny is, it’s not about becoming the Messiah, I think it’s something darker”
“Well that reveal is not what I was expecting but if what you’re saying is true then I’m in a lot deeper s**t than I thought, oh bloody hell”
“I think they’re forces trying to hide the truth from us”
“We have to uncover the truth no matter how dark it bloody is”
I said and then Ada asked
“Do you still think you’re doing the work of God?”
“What I think doesn’t matter, what I do does”
I answered and she smiled and nodded, I just looked at her and said
“Prepare yourself, we’re going hunting”
I left and when to the restroom and then I started wondering what Ada meant by saying my destiny is something darker, this thought lingered for a while but then I decided to find the woman in my flashback and once she’s found, I can uncover the truth though her,
I freshened up and met Ada in the sitting room and then I asked
“So Ada what’s and plan?”
“I thought you said we’re going hunting?”
“Yes I did and I just have an idea, it’s crazy but let’s pay a visit to the land of the dead”
“You’re kidding right?”
Ada asked and I shaked my head, she just sighed then she said
“Well in order to go to the land of the dead you have to die, you saw what happened when I tried to find that woman, I’m not taking that risk”
“I can just resurrect us back, besides I can’t die all you have to do is link both of our life force and then you die and I die with you and we find her before my powers automatically brings us back”
“And who’s going to watch over our bodies while we’re gone?”
“I’ve got a Sharman coming over, she gonna think she’s doing her job but in reality we’re doing something else, besides she’s a fake”
“So we’re basically gonna trick her into thinking she’s doing a cleansing ritual but in reality she’s not”
“Exactly”
“You’ve thought this over haven’t you?”
“Yeah now once we’re dead it’ll take some few minutes before we’re resurrected but in the land of the dead we’ll have all the time we need to find that woman”
Ada was surprised I knew much about the land of the dead but realizing I have been resurrecting people for a while didn’t ask how I knew so she said
“Okay I’m gonna do a blood ritual to link us up”
She cut her hand with a knife and then she cut mine with the same knife and she held my hand as our blood touched each other as she quickly said an incantation, we were standing so close together as we both looked at each other in the eyes,
A strong wind blew around us as our life force were linked up immediately, I could feel a rush of energy inside me and so could Ada, my wound healed immediately and so did hers, she shared my healing powers now,
I looked into her eyes as we both smiled and then she said
“It worked”
“Yes it bloody did”
I said as I stepped closer and wanted to kiss her but suddenly we were interrupted by the doorbell, it turns out that the Sharman had arrived, we both stepped away from each other awkwardly as I went to let the Sharman in,
Ada took a glass of water and casted a spell turning it into poison and drank it immediately before the Sharman came in, I told the Sharman to start the “fake cleansing” at once and she did, I and Ada lay on the floor as the Sharman did her thing, she gave us something to drink saying it was holy water but I and Ada knew it was just regular water,
As the Sharman was walking up and down chanting and saying all sorts of bloody nonsense, the poison Ada drank took effect as she slowly died, I died with her as we both woke up and saw ourselves in the land of the dead,
Everything was as it was on earth, the house and everything but it also seemed different, me and Ada got up from our bodies as we both saw the Sharman chanting, she was still in the land of the living but me and Ada are now in the land of the dead,
Our souls were still connected as I could still feel the link even after we died, Ada really did her part well I must say, we both walked out of the house into the street, seeing so many dead people walking around,
We just walked passed them and then walked into an abandoned building as Ada sat down to cast a location spell on the woman, I stopped her and said
“You forgot about the shadow entity”
“I didn’t forget but this is the fastest way we’re going to find her”
“What about the shadow demons, they roam this place and we don’t want to warrant their attention”
“I know but remember your body will soon heal and we would be pulled back into the real world so let me do this so we can be on our merry way”
Ada said as she closed her eyes and casted the spell, suddenly a strong wind blew and I held some screeching sounds and then Ada opened her eyes, she looked at me and said
“I know where she is but we gotta hurry, the shadow demons are on their way”
“Yeah no kidding”
She got up from the floor as we both saw a car, well I imagined it and it showed up then I said
“It works”
“What works?”
“The theory of imagining anything you want in the land of the dead and it shows up”
Ada just sighed as we both got into the car and drove off into the streets,
“Where is she?”
I asked and Ada answered
“She’s in Manhattan”
“What?! But we’re in London”
“Yeah but things works differently in the land of the dead, imagine…”
Ada said but she couldn’t finish her sentence as she saw a shadow demon right in front of us, I drove the car right through it but it chased us and then I asked
“What’s your bloody plan Ada?”
“Escape the shadow demon I guess”
“You’ve gotta be bloody specific about that”
“Oh I am very bloody specific, just drive!”
I kept on driving as the shadow demon chased us but suddenly two more showed up as one got into the car and Ada just blasted it off with darkness
“You’ve gotta be kidding me, Ada stop doing that”
“Well I don’t want to be dragged down to hell by those demons okay!”
“Well using your magic is gonna get more attention”
“I know that!”
“Then stop using it!”
I yelled as I accidentally drove the car into a tree, we both got out of the car, I looked around and saw Tracy’s house, it turns out we were now in Miami, Tracy opened the door and saw us both,
“William?”
She said out of surprise,
“Tracy?”
I said as I was surprised to see her, she looked and saw the shadow demons approaching and then she said
“Come in!”
And then me and Ada ran into her house hoping to hide from the shadow demons.
