Bonfire Bliss

" Your going to burn me" Angel crosses her arms like a child throwing a tantrum. " If you get burned its only because you wont stop moving!" I snap at her. "Im almost finished" I say pulling the last curl from the iron.  I run my fingers through her hair, separating her long blonde locks. "Ta-dah, beautiful beach waves for the beach" I stand back admiring my masterpiece, long beachy waves a subtle smokey eye that makes her baby blues pop, and a tight blue sun dress perfect for the beach"Angel you are breath taking, I honestly dont know why you dont dress up more, you can have any man in the palm of your hand" I tell her. "Because I have more on my mind then playing with boys" she takes a cheap shot at me. " Ouch that one hurt...im not playing with boys im just enjoying my life, living in the moment, I live my life to the fullest because you never know when its going to be taken away" i say trying to force the lump in my throat down. " Savannah what happened to your parents shouldn't dictate your life. Just because they unexpectedly died doesnt mean they didnt live. They loved each other and Im sure they didn't have a single regret about not living wild and free...you dont have to be wild forever" she says wrapping me in a hug. " I know Angel, but for now I just need to feel this way. I need to feel the rush of life and everything it has to offer" she smiles and nods her head. I know she doesn't understand but she still accepts me. " I understand you" i look around puzzled. " Whats wrong?" She asks. "I thought I heard someone...nevermind...ok your all finished, now my turn to get ready". I straighten my long brown hair and it falls perfectly to the center of my back. I take extra time on my makeup making sure my liner is sharp, my eyebrows are perfectly shaded in, I apply a deep red lipstick and highlight my high cheekbones...perfect. I scan through my closet until I find the perfect outfit, a high waist pair of dark blue jean shorts that hug my curves perfectly and really flatter my ass, and a strappy white lace top that has a low slit right between the girls. I squeeze my breasts perfectly into place and apply some perfume with shimmery glitter. "Oh yeah we are slaying tonight" I say resting my elbow on Angels shoulder as we look at ourselves in the mirror. "Lets go make some memories" i say " Hell yea" Angel surprises me with her excitement. This is going to be interesting. We strap on our sandals and head out the door, we decide to walk the beach is less the 15 minutes away. We make our way to the bottom of the stairs and bump in to a sexy neighbor." Greg, hey Id like you to meet my roommate s***h cousin Angel" his jaw is literally on the floor when he sees us. Angel immediately blushes she still isn't used to this attention, but I know how to keep my cool. " Angel this is Greg, the neighbor I was telling you about" I say. " Hi Greg its nice to meet you" she stammers. " Likewise, so where are you lovely ladies headed off to tonight looking so fine" he finally pulls himself together. " Just headed to the beach for a bonfire" I say "Your more then welcome to join us" Angel blurts out surprising not only herself but me as well. I quickly brush off the shock. " Yeah Greg come with us, it will be fun" I wink. " Ummm what the hell why not, let me just run in and change" he hurries inside his apartment leaving me and Angel outside. " Damn Angel perfect time to grow some balls...so looks like someone is in the market for a boy toy after all"  I laugh. " Oh shut up I was just being polite you know neighborly" she shrugs it off. " Yeah neighbors dont drool over each other just to be nice, you two are totally feeling each other, its so cute. Now dont be a dork and mess it up, play it cool and sexy" I encourage her. I love seeing this flustered side of Angel. " Tonight is definitely going to get wild" i whisper as Greg steps out. " Shut it Savannah" she nudges me. Its around 9 when we make it to the beach. " Holy cow there is at least 1000 people here" Angel says I can hear the hesitation in her voice. " Dont back out on me now" i hook her arm in mine and pull her. Wow this is amazing they have an actual bar set up, a whole ass DJ, and so much glow in the dark accessories! But the most exciting attraction is the huge roaring fire. Im literally drawn to it like a moth. I slowly walk towards the fire, i never break eye contact with the flames, it literally captivates me. "Its beautiful aint it" i deep voice snaps me out of my trance. I turn to my right and see a tall handsome man standing next to me. For once in my life im speechless, all my big talk about playing it cool has vanished. Im suddenly being drawn to dark green eyes, I cant look away. He has short dark hair perfectly tossed to the side I can picture me running my fingers through it, a strong jawline with a perfectly trimmed beard. "You ok" he says smiling. Oh my he has dimples just like me, his smile alone is doing things to me, and those lips look so irresistible it takes all my strength to not just throw my lips on his what the f**k is happening to me, this never happens to me Im the one that is supposed to be irresistible he should be melting in my hands. " Get it together" i tell myself. " Im perfectly fine, I could use a drink though" I say reeling him in. " Right this way" he says leading the way. Wow I cant believe this man just made me act like a complete fool, who the hell does he think he is throwing me off of my game like that. Suddenly im irritated because nobody makes me look like a fool. Ugh I should just walk away. " What can I get you Alpha" the "bartender" asks. Alpha? Hmm thats a strange name. "Ill take another beer and whatever she wants" the bartender looks at me waiting. He is pretty cute dirty blonde hair pulled into a man bun he gots a surfer vibe. I decide to have some fun. " Hmm surprise me" i say picking up a lime, i tilt my head to the side and slowly part my lips I slide the lime in and gently suck on it. I pull it away and lick my lips. "Well im full of surprises" he says leaning forward. "Really" I say seductivly. "Can I get my beer" a seriously irritated Alpha says. He stares at the bartender and its almost like they are having a conversation through their minds. " Yes right away Alpha I apologize" he hands him his beer and passes me a drink without looking at me. " Well thank you for the drink...see you around umm Alpha was it?" I ask. " You can call me that" he says with a smile. " Ok then" i turn to leave but my hand is  being grabbed, i feel like a tazer is going off in my palm. Jolts of electricity shoot up my arm through my entire body, but strangely it doesnt hurt, it almost feels good. I snap my hand away. " What the f**k was that" I demand. " Its our bond" Alpha says. " Ok funny guy, let me enlighten you...I dont BOND with anyone, I dont do connections or relationships and all that lovey dovey BS so you can keep it moving and bond with someone else" as soon as the words leave my mouth im suddenly over come by sadness and pain. Why am I feeling this way I dont understand, this rejection thing isnt new to me so why the hell am I getting so worked up over this stranger Alpha. I look at his deep green eyes and I see hurt and abandonment. " I got to go, stay away from me ok" i shout to him. I find Angel and Greg sitting in the sand by the water. "Hey whats wrong" she asks me as I take a seat next to her. " I dont know honestly im feeling a little weird. I just rejected an insanely hot guy and for some reason I regret it something is wrong with me, what are these stupid feelings!" I say angrily. "Awww Savannah its ok to have feelings" she says " NOT ME ANGEL" I snap. "I dont do feelings, you know that, something is really weird, when he grabbed me i felt sparks like little jolts of electricity were shooting through me its so weird, I think he put a hex on me" I say. " A Hex Savannah what is in that cup" she laughs reaching for my drink. " Ok no more drinking for you" she says. " I dont know who this Alpha guy thinks he is but he is messing with the wrong girl" I declare. "Alpha?" Angel asks the tone in her voice tells me she knows something. " Thats what the bartender called him and when I asked he said I can call him that to so im guessing thats his name...strange huh" i say. " Oh no we may have a problem " Angel says looking upset.
