The next morning, the halls were full of chatter. Sirena got out of bed and Snow stretched from her spot she had made between Sirena's pillows. She slipped her bathrobe on and slipped down to her main door and opened it.
"What's going on," she asked out loud. One of the females that Sirena had seen at the dance stopped and looked at Sirena who was peeking out her door. "There's been an attack near the border and we need reinforcements." She turned without another word and followed the others that were headed to the front gate.
Sirena quickly went back and slipped on some light clothes and headed back out to help. While everyone else shifted to their dragon, Sirena shifted to her wolf, feeling more comfortable fighting that way. Her limbs carried her through the forest easily.
