4.CHARITY GALA BALL

After 6 months...

life is all set. everything is happening according to as I wished and planned things should be . Perfect career ,a very happy family, slightly annoying but lovely sister ,friends ,money, respect everything I had except one thing thats my so called love life but thats fine.I am more than happy with my life right now .

After that night ,i joined embassy started working as translator , currently my training and development period is going after 3 more months I'll be ready as a rocket to fly to the moon . there's a smack on my head which ended my thought process ,I whined "what the hell roman" I don't even have to look up to whose the one because I know there's only one ,who could do something like this to me.

"No hii,no hello,is this the way you greet your bestfriend" he said while puting his hand on his heart showing the hurt sign ,that earned him a roll of my eyes.

Ella- "You little Vixen, how dare you spoil my hair"

Roman- "hey hey easy there don't forget we are still in the embassy" while narrowing his eyes at me.

I move my head at a 180° spin and saw everybody looking at us giving them my apologetic smile.I move my head towards Roman again and continue talking while lowering my voice "why did you came here,you better have some important news other wise after office hours ,i am going to smack your ass until it turns red"

"For your kind information,I came here to tell you that tonight we are going at a charity gala ball held by Aiden Maxwell and Roseline Maxwell ,founder of max corporations, this is going to be a world wide event that's why we all are invited and you,my friend are going with me.I'll pick you up at 8 sharp at night.be ready as flawless as ever and before you start arguing with me let me tell you.i am not talking no for an answer and this discussion is over here!"

I was looking at him with my jaw mid air ,he just left me with less of words with the determination he said his words there's no room left for argument and I know it's better to agree then to resist. "Okay ,fine I'll be ready on time, we'll go together"

"That's my girl,now back to your work"

Here comes Jessica with the evergreen smile on her face , asks"what's going on here guys,did I miss something?"

With very short period of time we three became very close friends, and I am lucky to have them.

"nothing much just letting her know about the charity gala" Roman answered her question.

"Oh yeah,I forgot to tell you about that ,so you are coming right"she asked Me.

"Of course ,this little Vixen here left me no choice" I replied while pointing towards Roman ,stifling my laugh along with jessica.

"I heard that"

"Good for you"

And we burst out laughing but soon regretted our action because whole room are giving us weird looks.and we gave them again our apologetic sheepish smiles with the word "sorry" after that we went back to our respective work.

Two hours went by just like that ,now it's time to leave for home at 5 pm so that we can get ready for the gala on time. I rushed back home in my black baby,Janice is out at her friend's house for group study.this girl never stays at home,mom is at market for grocery shopping.I texted her while leaving for home from the embassy. So the conclusion is. I have to get ready on my own .

I dont know what to wear i don't want to make a fool out of myself.i never went to a gala before this is all new to me.after taking a shower ,slowly i reached my closet pulled out a dress which mom brought for me some time ago ,i guess this should do !

I wore my red dress along with my heels ,letting my natural wavy curls loose on my back ,I didn't wear much makeup just a natural look. i am ready to go just then my doorbell rang,on time roman.i smile wickedly going downstairs.i open the door and here stood my date for tonight,all smiling at me.
