Present tense.
If I were younger, I would have thought it was a werewolf. But they don't exist! But how can you not believe your eyes now? And what’s even scarier to think about is where I am. I’m scared to even imagine that I was kidnapped and I absolutely don’t know who it could be.
I got up and started walking back and forth, looking at the walls to see if there was any way out. Yes! I found. Here the entrance is blocked by a huge stone, and I have absolutely no idea how to move it aside. I also have a question about how whoever it was was able to put it here in the first place. Am I really walled up here alive? Panic hits me again. I understand that that guy really was a werewolf, and perhaps he was not alone, since someone else was howling in the forest. What about my friends? My parents? They're probably going crazy.
"Is anybody here?" I screamed. "Let me out, help!"
I tried to scream, but then I realized that there was no point. I moved to the other side and sat down in front of this stone, ready to cry. Oh no! I'm not going to start snotting here! This will not help the matter at all.
I heard a crash. Jumping sharply to my feet, I began to stand all tense. The stone began to move to the side and someone began to approach me. In a panic, I grabbed a torch from the wall and pointed it at an unknown person.
"Don't come closer!" I shouted. "Who are you? What do you need?"
"You have nothing to fear." Some guy about twenty-five years old. “You just shouldn’t have been there.”
"Where exactly?“I looked at him defiantly.“They knocked me out with chloroform and brought me here!” What the f**k?"
“It’s good that you’re not as timid as we thought.” “He smiled, and behind him a girl with bright blue eyes appeared, even with me they don’t stand out that much, although the color is the same. “I'm Fred and this is Chris, I'm sorry we brought you here this way, but we had no choice.”
“You can put the torch away, we just want to talk.”The girl said, and I nodded and hung the torch in place. I don’t know, I felt that there was no danger from them. They don’t seem to be going to kill me or torture me either.
They came out of the cave I was in and took me somewhere with them. It was dark all around and these torches were everywhere. It feels like we are walking in some kind of crypt. It still makes me feel a little uneasy.
We went to another place where several more people were sitting. If at all a person. They all looked at me, but I really didn’t feel any anger or danger. In one of those sitting, I noticed the same guy who yesterday before my eyes turned into a wolf.
“I think you’ve already guessed everything yourself.”He said when I saw the eldest of them, even almost elderly. And I nodded silently in response. "Sorry again for such a reception, but we cannot take risks." He stood up from the stone he was sitting on and began to walk from side to side. “I understand what you had to experience yesterday. Due to the fact that the young man transformed for the first time yesterday, he was not able to control himself and his actions. But over time he will learn.
"Sorry.“The guy said, and I didn’t even know what to answer.“Those of us who are older can transform at will and, of course, don’t kill people.”
"Why didn’t you kill me?“I asked, gathering my strength. And everyone fell silent for a moment.
“We don’t kill people, these are extreme cases and accidents.”He answered, as I understand it, it’s like they have a leader. God, what am I even talking about?
"And what do you want from me?“I feel like my nerves are getting worse. I just want to go home and forget about all these werewolves. Who knows, maybe they're lying to me? Maybe they are trying to gain my trust and then kill me? I do not understand anything.
“You just have to understand that we are not some bloodthirsty killers, so if you now know about us, we want you to keep our secret.”The leader answered. "What's your name?"
"Summer."I answered.
"So, Summer."He continued. “I feel like you’re not dangerous, I think we can trust you, right?”
"Um...I just want to forget about everything."I said. By the way, it’s funny that they also think about whether I’m dangerous. And I think they know that even if I told someone about them, they still wouldn’t believe me.
"I understand.“He gestured something to a girl named Chris, as I understood it, to accompany me.“It’s night now, you can be free at dawn, but not before, it could be dangerous.”
I didn’t quite understand the meaning of his words, but I still followed Chris and she led me somewhere.
"Where are we going?"I asked.
"You need to eat.“She answered and led me into a kind of room. Why the similarity...because it's a f*****g cave.
"Why can’t I leave now?"I asked. "And where is my phone?"
"It’s dangerous for you to leave, but I don’t know about the phone."She shrugged. “We’re not some bastards who took it away from you, maybe it fell from you.”
"Clear.“I stood tense and couldn’t stop thinking about my parents and friends, not knowing at all what I would tell them. "What should I be afraid of?"
" Eat. “She handed me a plate of meat and potatoes, completely ignoring my question.
"Thank you.“I still wanted to eat, but it’s okay, I won’t make the wolves angry with my questions.”Is the meat not made from humans? “For some reason I asked, and Chris winced.
"It's a rabbit."She answered. "You better not interfere in our affairs. Not everyone is as generous as us."
"Is there anyone else?" I asked, finally deciding to eat.
"Eat and wait until morning."I was ignored again. "Then you can go."
I still finished eating, and then I felt that I really wanted to sleep. But in any case, I'm not even going to try to fall asleep in this place, no matter how kind everyone here seems. It seems to me that this is for the time being.
When the girl left, I decided to also leave the room and look around. Rooms...I wish I could go back to my favorite room now. I even lost track of time and don’t know how much longer I have to wait until the morning. That’s why I decided to walk around this lair to somehow distract myself. They are so damn caring, they don’t let me out because they are afraid for me. I don't trust these wolves. Well, it can’t be that I found out their secret, and they just let me go. Maybe when I start to move away from them, they will catch up with me and kill me. Who knows...
I walk through the cave as if I were visiting my mother’s friend, and not werewolves. I hear some voices. Well, considering that everyone here has known about me for a long time, so I’m not even worried.
The voices died down and two guys appeared on the horizon. For some reason I didn’t see them at the so-called pack meeting. And in general, everyone present there was tanned, but these ones were much paler. They stopped and began to look at me. They were about my age, maybe a couple of years older, honestly, I don’t know ages well. One looked at me somehow creepily, as if he had not very good things on his mind, and the other was simpler, he generally looked at me with some kind of surprise. I must admit that he didn’t scare me as much as his friend standing next to him most likely did. Who began to look at me point-blank, and his eyes began to color...dark red?
"Oh, there is something to snack on before the track.“He smiled and I noticed his fangs. This was just not enough.
I froze again and began to look at these strange people, although no, these are not people...
