  The sky seemed shrouded by an impenetrable black veil, dark and unforgiving.   Even after all these years, Austin still woke from dreams of that night—broken flashes of heat and hunger, of whispered names and skin against skin.   The hotel . The way his hands had held her like he would never let go. It haunted her.   She opened her eyes to the present, breath catching for a moment. Her skin felt cool against the sheets, her pulse slightly elevated. Disoriented, she glanced at the clock beside her bed.   It was almost six.
