EMMA POV
A grin appeared on my face as I watched how Ever was dragged back into the house by my Father's men.
After telling my Father I wanted the Sutherland twins, I also went ahead to tell them Ever had snuck out of the house to attend the moon fest.
I know damn well Father had forbidden her from going and I also know the outcome of going against him.
She was made to kneel in front of my Father and as she tried to pick herself up from the floor, Father slapped her hand, making her to fall back on the floor
"You little wench, what did I tell you about leaving this house?!" He yelled thunderously at her, making her to shiver in fear.
But strangely, it seems like he yelled at me. I gasped in fear and swallowed hard, suddenly starting to sweat.
My mother who noticed me, gently cuddled me in her arm and stroked my hair while she glared at Ever.
It seems I was suffering from the trauma.
I was not the one Father was being harsh to but strangely, I was scared.
"Father, I am so sorry" Ever trembled, rubbing her palms together and apologizing "I promise not to do that again"
"You always say that every time!" He barked at her as he removed his belt "You never listen until you are taught a lesson"
As Father removed his belt, memories from five years later flashed through my brain.
Memories of how Father wiped nakedly so hard with his belt
"Take off those clothes" he ordered as tears gathered in Ever's eyes.
I knew what he was going to say next once she take off her clothes, I had been in the same position before but watching someone else in the same position was something my heart could not take.
"Father" I called softly as I gently moved away from mother "Please forgive her this time, she will never repeat the same mistake again" I pleaded on her behalf.
Father glanced at Ever and then at me before throwing the belt on the couch "You are so lenient, Emma" he said and stared at Ever monstrously "You should be grateful to Emma, if not I would have...." His voice drifted off as he tried to calm himself down.
I watched as Father's bodyguards dragged her to her room like she was no human
"Are you okay Emma? You look drained" Mother had a concern look while checking me out "We should go take a pint of Ever's blood" she made attempt to call the pack doctor but I stopped her
"Blood?" I arched my brow "I should be the one......" I suddenly paused when it downed on me once again that I was no longer the Emma I was before
Now, Ever would be the one giving me blood
That means I am the one with the sickness now.
Here goes one disadvantage of my Fate going to her
"Don't worry mother, I will do it myself" I placed my hands on hers, giving her a reassuring smile.
Later, I went to Ever's room which used to be my room holding the equipments I would need.
As I entered the room, she immediately sniffed and wiped off her tears with her palm
"What do you want?" Her voice cracked as she has been crying for a long time, she looked pitiful.
I sat on the bed and took her wrist, making attempts to take the blood
"Did you tell Father and Mother I was at the moon fest?" She asked, glaring at me "You must be so happy after witnessing Father yell at me earlier, You vicious wench!"
A scoff emerged from my mouth.
The Vicious wench here is her not me.
"Do you think you are better than I am because our parents treat you so well? No you are not. I saw how the twins ignored you just to pick me, you are just an ugly, good for nothing b***h. You just wait, I will make sure you pay for everything you have done to me" She was spitting fire while I just sat there watching her with a smirk on my face
My Fate must have gone to her but she still has that rotten personality within her
Of course I was happy, happy that I got to stop her from having s*x with Jayden and kale, it would have made me heartbroken if she has.
I am glad Father's bodyguards were able to capture her at the right time.
I grabbed her wrist once more, this time gripping it so tightly I could hear her wince in pain.
"Let go me" she resisted but I was not willing to let go, if she still has that personality within her then she should not be treated with ease
I recalled all the times she maltreated me up until my birthday, the day I died. I recalled how she mouthed the word 'Good bye' to me that day
It made me hate her the more, it made me furious and the only way i could calm myself down that moment was to keep inflicting pain in her
"Please let me go" she cried and I guess my soft heart could not watch me see tears roll down her cheek as I released her
"Oh, how nice of you" I heard my wolf say to me.
I took the blood I wanted and stormed out of her room still trying to calm myself down.
Why do I still pity her when I saw her shed tears?
She is a murderer, she killed me.
Judging by how she seems wicked even though she is being maltreated, I must not become soft at all
I must be on my feet always
She could manipulate Maddie into killing me again and I can't let that happen

That's right!
I have to get to Maddie and ask her why she did that.
Immediately, I walked past the living room and went straight to the maid's quarter where Maddie would obviously be
"How may I help you, my lady" the head maid asked me politely.
She seems to make sure all maids were in their rooms before going to bed herself
I turned to her with a frown.
She was also part of the people that made my life hell but I do not blame her, I blame my parents and the witch I call a sister
"Is Maddie inside?" I was rude in my tone
"Yes, my Lady. Do you want something from her?" The head maid replied, her heads bowed.
I rolled my eyes, not in a bit moved by her politeness
Since when did she become so nice?
"Why do you care if I want something from her? Just get her for me!" I snapped and she moved with immediate effect.
In few seconds, Maddie was out of her room
"My Lady, how may I help you?" She asked, her face glued to the floor.
I moved closer to her furiously and grabbed her by the hair.
She yelped in pain but kept her mouth shut immediately I gave her a warning
"If you dare attract any attention, I won't forgive you"
"My Lady, why are you doing this?" She whimpered
"Why did you do it?" I asked her, still gripping her hair from how angry I was
"Do what? I don't know what you are talking about?" She cried.
"Why did you....." I stopped as it crossed my mind that she probably won't be able to give an answer to my question.
She stabbed me in year 2028 but now this is 2023.
I let go of her hair, panting heavily as I dusted her strands of hair which I had pulled out of her scalp from my palm.
She gasped on seeing them but she did not dare utter a word
"Are you friends with Ever?" I catched my breath
"I...I..." She sputtered
"You better start talking before I pull out more of your hair!" I yelled at her
"Yes my Lady, we do hang out sometimes!" She bursted out in fear of what I might do to her next
"Great" I sighed "Did she tell you about anything that happened to her at the moon fest?" I asked.
Maddie was trembling out of fear, her mouths were moving but no words was coming out
"Why won't you talk?!" I yelled at her again
"We haven't been able to talk since Alpha's bodyguard came to get her but I only saw her chatting with the Sutherland twins" she said so fastly I could hardly hear what she was saying
"Alright Maddie" I said in a calm tone "From now on, you have to start reporting to me whatever Ever does"
Maddie hesitated.
I could see it in her face that she wanted to say no
"Aren't you going to answer me?" I said in a threatening tone
"Alright, my Lady" she replied.
A smirk appeared on my face.
