Chapter 6- HATRED
EMMA'S POV
I opened my eyes, turned my body, stretched and yawned. It's been a long time since I've had a nice sleep in a long time.
There were many reasons why I could not sleep well my whole life, one was because I was starved so many times.
Once you do not eat for a whole day, sleeping in the night would be hard for you.
Another reason was because of the pain from all the bruises my father had always left on my body, they hurt so much that I always find it hard to sleep.
But not now everything changed, I do not starve and my whole body is not covered in bruises.
A part of me kind of feel sorry for Ever as she would be the one encountering these things but another part of me bluntly told me it's her cross and she should bear the burden.
I heard a knock on the door to my room and told the person to come in. Approaching me was the head maid
"What is it?" I knew I was rude in my tone but I didn't find it pleasant that her harsh looking face would be the first thing I would be seeing so early in the morning.
"Did you sleep tight my Lady?"
I took a deep breath and forced a smile "Yes, I did"
Now that I think about it, the maids are not the people I should resent. The people who gave them the guys to look down on me are those I should be like this to.
"Is there anything you want me to take care for you?" She bowed but I shook my hand as a sign of no "if there is not then I say you should wash up and dress up my Lady because Genard Sutherland would be visiting today"
My eyes widened as I sat up in muse
Genard Sutherland?
That's Jayden and kale Sutherland's Father.
As I stared into the thin air, i could not help but scoff
Father would really do anything for me, ugh?
I know Father well, he is a pompous and arrogant Alpha because of how superior his pack is compared to other Packs.
But he would go to the length of being humble to Genard just because I want his twins.
That's interesting.
Ever must have been so lucky to have our parents love her from the beginning.
I'm Jealous.
I stood up from the bed and dragged my foot to take a bath, once I was done I opened my wardrobe to check the best dress I could put on that would impress my father-in-law.
After staring at my wardrobe for a long time, I decided to go with a blue elegant dress which was not too formal but also not too worldly.
It was Elegant and simple.
I turned to mirror as I put it on and added my Silver heels, a smile appeared on my face.
Now I'm ready to go.
The buzz of my phone caught my attention as I sat on the bed to check what it was.
It was a text from Angelina, a friend of Ever but I would say a friend of mine asking me if I have not forgotten we were supposed to go to the boutique tomorrow to get a wedding dress for her.
I rolled my eyes as I dropped my phone on the bed, I don't think I can get used to Ever's Friends as Mine.
I don't like them all, they were all bullies like Ever.
In 2028, this particular Angelina took a video of me when my Father was lashing me nakedly and send it on social media, making me a laughing stock.
What a person to make friends with, ugh?
I could feel how nervous I was when I saw Genard car drove in.
Even though my Father would be persuading him or making a deal or whatever, I also have to make sure Genard likes me.
It's necessary so that it won't backfire on me later.
I descended down the spiral stairs, clenching my palm nervously but as I was about to get to where I would be visible to them, I put on a bright smile.
Father and Genard were chatting and laughing like they have been friends before but I am pretty sure they were not for once close.
And seeing Father laugh like that gave me chills.
Mother was not exempted from the meeting, she was sitting on the couch beside my Father, chuckling at whatever they were saying.
"Oh, there she is" Father announced my presence.
I didn't have to try, I saw the look on Genard face
He likes me already
I bowed with a smile showing my upper teeth as I moved closer
"It is such an honour to have you at our humble abode, Alpha Genard" I said with my calm and soothing voice
"The honour is mine, Emma" he replied.
I was already relieved but I felt even more relieved when I heard him say my name.
After the greetings, I sat beside Mother who gestured to come sit beside her
"I can see that your daughter is a very beautiful young Lady, she really looks after you both" Genard said to flatter my parents and they were indeed flattered
But I scoffed within myself.
Ever is just like a splitting image of my mom while I look like a total stranger in the family.
Am I the only one not seeing any resemblance?
"So you are the one who wants my Sons? Why them? Seeing how beautiful you are, I am pretty sure you have a lot of men who wants you" He inquired just like any other father should.
"Because I think Jayden and Kale are born for great things and having them by my side will be something necessary to overcome any obstacle that comes my way and also, I love them"
I could see them all smiling as I mentioned Love.
"What a smart young lady you are" Genard was impressed "I will inform my twins about this".
Later in the evening, I drove down the street happily as I have been able to impress the twins Father
Very soon, they will be mine and everything will be at it's original place.
But, my heart was weighed down when it crossed my mind that I am slowly becoming like Ever
How she stole Jayden and Kale away from me.
And it also occured to me, that Ever is meant to be with the twins not me which means I am defiling Fate.
What in the world will happen to me if I go on with this?
By the way, If Jayden and Kale are Ever's mate then who is my Mate?
It must be Ever's mate from the year 2028 who will be my mate now.
I stopped the car in front of a café to get a cup of coffee when I noticed the Cafe was surrounded with bodyguards.
As I was about to enter, wondering what is going on, a bodyguard stopped me
"This Cafe has been rented for an hour, you can't come in"
From their Scent, I knew they are werewolves which means someone powerful is inside
Which one could it be?
An Alpha?
A Beta?
I peeped in when I noticed it was Jayden and Kale, a smile appeared on my face.
I decided to use my authority to enter the cafe "I am Emma Sinclair, the daughter of Adrian Sinclair, I guess I'm permitted to enter considering the fact that the twins are my mate"
The bodyguard took a step back and bowed "I am so sorry for not recognizing you, my lady" he apologized and opened the door for me.
I walked in majestically with a smirk on my face
It feels so good to be powerful
"Who are you? I believe you were told the cafe was rented for an hour" Jayden was the first to notice me as I approached them
"Calm down" I smiled and took a seat, staring at the cups of coffee in front of them
"If you guys wanted to drink coffee, you could have just ordered it. Why rent the cafe for an hour?" I crossed my legs
"Who are you?" Kale repeated the same question his brother asked
I tuck my hair behind my ear and smiled "I am Emma, Emma Sinclair"
I could see the displeased looks oj their faces as they heard my name
"So you are the one Father wants us to get married to?" Jayden scoffed in disbelief
"Seems he already told you about it" I grinned
"So you talked your Father into buying our Father so you could get us, isn't that so childish?" Kale had a sneered look on his face.
"Renting a cafe for an hour just to drink two cups of coffee, I think you guys are the childish ones" I didn't hold back just because I was in love with them.
I could see it on their faces
They don't like me a little bi
Perhaps, is this what I get for wanting to go against fate? Hatred of the twins.
