POV’s Tate Riley was at the lab for nearly two hours, meeting with the head of the Marine Biology department and the professor in charge of the students partaking in the research competition. Of course, I wasn’t allowed to sit in on the meetings, but I decided to stay and be there for when Riley got out. Besides, the vending machine here had a good selection of snacks. I had a few packs of Reese’s peanut butter cups and a few kitkats. Riley was still in her meeting, and the halls were fairly quiet, so I was able to go to the bathroom without worrying about people coming in and hearing. By the time Riley was done, she seemed utterly exhausted. “So, it was Floch who had messed with our data the first time.
