1098 Words
Three years later.    * Hospital *   I was brushing my teeth, I had light beard developing I looked like I had not slept in months. Today was my twenty first birthday. I was allowed access to the gym. Noah for some reason liked lifting weights, I guess it kept him calm. I have not had an episode in a year now. I wonder if I will ever be allowed to leave. I barley hear Noah's thoughts any more I guess the gym and therapy and drugs combination is working. I continued to write in my journal. I wonder what Noah could be plotting what will he do if he does resurface. I got up and walked out of my room my guard Joshua followed me down the hall to the elevators I could eat in the public cafeteria. As I exited the elevator Walking towards the entrance of beautiful smells. I head to the counter and grabbed three soft shell tacos a side of fresh cut pineapple and best of all Dutch apple pie for dessert with a can of cola. I sat down and ate my food and wrote some more about details of my day. Dr. Reeves says keeping track of everything is a good way of making sure I was in fact not blacking out, although I do not feel like Noah and I are two separate people at this point. After all, after three years you sort of become one in the same. I accepted my darkness. I even accepted that I would never be able to understand why all of this had happened.    Elizabeth's POV   I finally finished my training at the bar downtown. Today would be the first day I run the shift and close all by myself. " Today's going to be an amazing day, said Eli " " You are too much, I responded to him as I applied my eye liner. " " Girl, if you do not stop being a Debbie downer, I am going to have to find a new best friend. " " Hopefully one with the same taste of men so I can actual have a partner in crime" Eli continued. I rolled my eyes playfully. " Seriously girl when are you going to date?" He asked her playfully. I never really thought about guys I was more concerned with the saving I had and the saving my mother left me all together I had about hundred thousand my grandparents left it for her and she me when she passed. I figured I could add to it, I was so much more worried about saving all the money I could and just disappear. If only that was possible, I thought to myself staring in the mirror. " Girl! Hello Earth to Lizzie" , Eli spoke loudly getting my attention. " Seriously you need to lose your V card " I scoffed at him " and I will when I meet the right person, Now Eli how do I look my first day as manager". " Beautiful as usual, but please meet someone, I hate seeing you seem so alone." " I promise I am fine Eli. " If you say so, he answered sarcastically. " Now let’s get to the bar, I said rushing us out the door."   * Approximately 11pm at the hospital *   * Noah's POV*   I woke up to alarms going off flashing all around me. The guards were not in my room there were men everywhere with guns. Why would anyone be on this floor with guns. But that did not matter this was my chance. I dart out my room dodging behind medical carts and dashing down the hall to the elevators. I came to a halt when I see two guards walking by the elevator. I turned back, took the right hall to the emergency stairwell. I ran down three flights of steps and broke through the emergency exit. Once outside I noticed several police. I quickly ducked under a tall bush. I peeked out to see if I was seen, but I was not. I crept towards the back exit of the hospital grounds. Running down the street, the city lights blinding me. I do not know how long I had been running for, but I was finally reaching the outskirts of town. Finally, some Recognition of where I was at. I decided I would head to my uncle’s farm and steal some supplies out of his shed. Then I would be on my way to finding that brown eyed girl. She was the reason I had failed my first attempt of escaping in the first place. I am not sure what I was going to do once I found her, but she was going to pay.    After running for what seemed like hours, I was about 20 miles from the hospital now. I could see my uncles old rust bucket truck in the driveway. Some things never change, I thought to myself. I ran up to the beginning of the driveway slowly creeping around the truck trying not to be detecting by the security lights out front. I was by the side of the house and finally the shed. Man, even when David was a kid, he never locked this thing. Guess the old man never learned. I rummage through the supplies, grabbing camp and hunting gear. I rolled the tent up and attached it to the pack hoisting it on my back. I then grabbed some fishing rods and bait, and finally a flask that helps purify water. Just as I was about to leave the shed, I froze I had heard a noise. I slowly crept to the shed door to see the culprit of my demise. It was no other than a raccoon. " Little Bugger, I heard my uncle " " Get, go on now shoo! ", the old man grumbled. Once he went back inside, I slipped out slowly hiding on the far-right side of the shed. I dipped into the woods, supply in hands. I would camp close to my uncles tonight. Tomorrow I shall get some old clothes that I know he will not miss. I just had to wait for him to leave. Then I would figure out where she was and find her. I continued till I found the perfect spot for me to rest. It was a hollowed-out tree. I laid a sleeping mat down by it and closed my eyes for the night. I have a lot to do when I get up in the morning, I thought to myself. A lot to do....
