" You want to what? I asked " " Well it's called hypnosis " , She responded. " And what exactly is that? ", I asked. " Ok, so you the person you are now, " David " your subconscious would go to sleep and Noah's would wake up, so to speak ", she explained. " Um, so we want my psychopath alter ego to come. " I responded sarcastically. " It's the only way to talk to him and to understand what his motives are and how dangerous he may be “, she answered. I took a deep breath and sighed. " Ok. when do we start? “, I asked. " In a few minutes, she responded. " I will be right back with Dr. Sarah." she said as she walked out the door.
* Elizabeth's POV*
I managed to leave school early to come to the hospital with Jackson and his mother in hopes to see David. Although Jackson told me not to get to excited, because chances are, we will not be allowed in to see him. Hi, Jackson's mother said to the lady at the desk. Hi, I am Sophie, how can I assist you, the blonde preppy girl smiled with a fake upbeat tone to her voice. I rolled my eyes internally. Jackson's mom continued. " Yes, we are here to see David and his mother Mrs. Andrews, are they allowed any visitors yet? " Let me check, she responded. I watched nervously as she typed on the computer and then made a phone call I assume to see if we were allowed. " Yes mhm, the lady spoke on the phone. " then she hung up. " So, Mrs. Andrews is in room 2101 B down the hall to the left and David is still on psych hold until tomorrow you can come back and see him then, she proceeds. " I sighed. " Hey, she said we can come back tomorrow, Jackson nudged me " " I guess so. I said looking off into the distance. " Alright, Lets go see Mrs. Andrews, Ms. Collins said " and we began to stroll down the hallway.
* David/Noah POV *
I laid in bed and wondered what Noah like is. Clearly, we both possess a dark mind only I do not act on my ill thought's. After all I do not think I would have ever been able to kill my dad. Although in my mind I had killed him thousands of times. " yea because your weak " a dark voice whispered causing me to jump up and look around the room. " Who was that " I said aloud. " Who do you think? " the voice chuckled. My eyes widened; I really am going crazy. WAIT, can he hear my thought's? Then I heard a chuckle. " Of course, I mumbled " Then everything got disrupted when Dr. Rose and Dr. Sarah walked in. " Hello, I'm Dr. Sarah, I work with a lot of patience who are diagnosed with "DID", It's a pleasure to meet you, She smiled " " Likewise, I responded ". " So, how does this work.?, I asked? " Dr. Rose would you please remove his restraints; He won’t be needing them. " I watched as Dr. Rose removed my restraints, I was so happy to be able to move my arms. Only other time I could remove them was with the security guards watching me to take a piss. " Ok, follow me, she asked " I was escorted down the hall by one security guard, Dr. Rose and Dr. Sarah. As we were walking, I saw Ms. Collins shortly followed by Jackson then Elizabeth. My heart stuttered for a second my eyes locked on hers I must have stopped moving because Dr. Rose cleared her throat and the guard shoved me. " I didn't know I was this close to my mother. " When can I see her or have Visitors? " " Tomorrow ", Dr. Rose responded. I had a sigh of relief I wanted to see my mom and I really wanted to see my friends. Finally, we reached another set of doors as we walked through them, we came to an elevator. Once on the elevator I got a bit nervous. What if they cannot fix me, Will I have to stay locked away? I had a lot of questions running through my head * ding * the elevator chimed. Once again, my thoughts were interrupted. We continued to the end of the hall to a small room.
Ok, before we get started do you want something to drink. Do you need to use the restroom? Dr. Sarah asked. " No, I am fine. " Ok go ahead and sit down in the chair over there, lean back and clear your head. " I laid back in the chair and closed my eyes. I cleared my mind as she told me to. " I'm going to count back from ten, I need you to take deep relaxed breathes and follow the sound of my voice and listen as this clock ticks down. " She ordered. Ten, Nine, Eight. she continued. Take another deep breath and clear your mind, she spoke. “Seven, Six, Five... I felt myself drifting away into the darkness. It made me anxious, I felt as if it was going to consume me, but I had no choice but to let myself be consumed. " Four, Three, Two... The stranger’s eyes spun open. David, Dr. Sarah spoke. The security guard stood up was about to step forward. Dr. Rose was in her office across the hall. For a moment, the tension in the room was agonizingly painful. " David ", Sarah spoke again. She paused then tried again, " Noah ". His eyes darted to hers and he sat up. The boy was no longer David she was now speaking to Noah. He c****d his head to the side observing her as if she was his prey. " Noah, I'm Dr. Rose are you aware of where you are? she asked as she wrote on a piece of paper. " Yes, he said in a subtle voice. " " Do you know why you are here? " He seemed amused by that question. " Yes, he answered with a grin " Dr. Sarah began to scribble her observations on her paper. Noah eyed her with curiosity. " Do you know why you did what you did? she asked referring to killing Mr. Andrews. " Because David would have gotten us killed " He answered darkly. " David is a weak-minded boy ", he spoke again with such maturity. Dr. Sarah took a deep breathe, then proceeded with the questions. Noah's eyes went from Sarah's pen and paper to the security guard who seems nervous, he c****d his head again observing him. He chuckled out loud. " Noah, May I ask what is so amusing? " the doctor stepped in. " He seems nervous I can read his whole aura. It's really sad, it's as if I can feel all the tension in his emotions just by observing his demeanor " he responded. Dr. Sarah looked over at the man and could not tell what Noah was talking about. She just nodded towards him giving the man permission to leave the room. " Noah smiled then simply said " Are you sure you want to do that? " with a dark mischievous grin.
