Chapter 25

1807 Words

Now that George and I were married, my family wanted to hold a feast for the village as a celebration. The wedding had been in London. It meant the people of our village were not there to help us celebrate. The women in our village had helped to make my dress so they had a part in our wedding, but most of the village had not really met George yet and had not seen us out and about since we had returned. I had spent time in the forest learning to master my new powers and George had been with my father learning about our land and what each of our tenants were responsible for. We had a small hall on the ground floor of our house. We had never held a feast before but had attended many in London. My father was not entirely on board with the idea. He was worried about me and my limited control.
