As I walk out to the living room to grab some of my clothes, I can’t help the wide grin of glee that spreads across my face. My little mate might not understand what she is feeling, based on the way she looked and responded to me. But I can tell by her scent that she was aroused by me.
Claim her. Bring her home. Let’s have pups. We will make beautiful pups.
Calm down. She only just found out what we are. We still need to explain all that. We don’t want to spook her.
Fine. But hurry. I want mate.
As he goes quiet, I cant help thinking, I know the feeling bud.
I push my sleeves up to my elbows as I walk back to the bedroom. “Hey. So, did you want to keep talking?” As she nods, I walk over to the bed and sit back down in the chair that I have lived in these past few days. “So, as you saw. I am a werewolf. I am not the only one. You know that mini village like place down and around the woods? That is my pack. I am what is called an Alpha. Which just means I am like the boss. We aren’t really different from anyone else.... aside from the whole. Turning into wolf thing. Umm, so.... ok. A long time ago, there were a group of people that worshipped the moon goddess. They were beings that had 2 heads and 4 legs. One day, an evil god came and tried to defeat the moon goddess. The people stood up for her and fought be her side. Unfortunately, just before he was defeated, he called down lightning that split all the people in half. 1 head. 2 legs and half a soul. A soul that was damaged and in complete disharmony. It was fractured and lost. The moon goddess felt for our pain, and while unable to reconnect us physically, she gave us a gift. Our wolves. You see. Our wolves have the ability to find our other half. The special person that has the other half of our soul. Usually they are also a wolf, but they can be human. And that can sometimes make things difficult, because as you saw, the wolf can be strange and scary. However, it is not possible for a wolf to hurt it’s mate. The soulmate gives us balance. When we find them, everything we are and everything we do becomes.... more. I hadn’t found my mate. Until.... Until I found you. The moment you showed up in the woods, ever fiber of my being screamed out that you were my mate. I know this is a lot to take in. And I don’t want to pressure you. But you need to know that you are incredibly important to me. And not just because you are my mate. But this time we have spent together has shown me just how incredible you truly are. And I am so proud that the moon goddess helped me find you.” I breathe out a massive sigh of relief. Unloading everything like that felt so good, but now I am concerned about her response.

I am completely blown away by everything that Cam has just told me. Werewolves and mates and I am his mate and what the..... I..I..I.... what is happening.
I take a few deep breathes and as I life my head, I can see his hands faintly shaking. As I continue up to his face, I can see that he is truly worried. It’s real. He actually feels so much for me. I am shaken to my core. His feelings are so strong and so deep. For a moment I am reminded of Jackson. That awful man that hurt me so much. But the feeling passes as I realise. Deep down, I can feel that it is different. I don’t get the same dark, sick, twisted feeling at the though of Cam when compared to Jackson. Feelings of love and desire were never what Jackson felt for me. It was greed and ownership. It took me till now to understand that. The essence of who they are and where those feelings come from is completely different. A warm glow spreads throughout my insides as this revelation helps heal a part of my torn spirit. The clarity that has given me helps me move forward another step. Feelings of gratitude well up as I look at Cam.

“Why don’t you have a shower while I go make us something to eat?” after she agrees, I wall out to the kitchen and start cooking a simple tomato soup and grilled cheese. I hear the water running and the rustling of fabric. I gulp. Focus. Ok. I stir the soup to make sure it doesn’t burn and flip the sandwiches so they get toasted evenly. I pull out the crispy and gooey grilled cheese’s and turn the heat of the soup. I grab out 2 bowls and head to the cutlery draw when I hear a bang and her give a yelp in pain.
I bolt to the bathroom and fling open the door. I see her on the floor. Naked. It feels like the temperature in the room spikes to a million degrees as my blood heats. Her longs, bare legs are curved under her and her breasts look soft and inviting. My eyes flicker with desire and I can’t help the growl of need that escapes from me. I quickly turn my back to her, grab a towel and thrust it behind me. “are you ok?”
