I transform into my human form and realise I have no clothes. That is a problem. I wrap one of the blankets around me as I wait for reinforcements. I can’t help fretting as I pace around the cabin, waiting for my Beta Max to bring the Doctor. The anguish I feel has my stomach in knots. As I hear a knock at the door, I race over and fling it open. “finally". I watch as the Doctor checks her over. Trying now to rip his throat out as he touches her. I can’t hold back and give a growl. The doctor gives me a glare and then throws a look to Max. “Alpha, I brought you some clothes. Why don’t you get dressed while the Doctor works?” I throw on the clothes as quickly as possible. I can’t bare to be away from her side when she needs me. Eventually the Doc turns to me and gives me a run down off the situation. With a few instructions and a couple of directions, I am prepared to nurse her back to health. I am hit with a wave of relief as I am told that she should be fine in a few days.

Max updates me on all the pack happenings these past weeks. They have had no luck finding the rogue, but there have been no other issues. The pack has been running smoothly in my absence. After a few orders, I send them on their way as I head back into the bedroom and begin caring for my beloved. The day turns to night. The sun rises and she still hasn’t woken. I give her a sponge bath and change her damp clothes. If I wasn’t so worried, I think seeing her gentle curves and touching her silky skin would have made me crazed with lust. She was breathtaking. Her scars didn’t diminish her beauty. I thanked the goddess for making her my mate. I pulled up a chair and cradled her hand in mine.
