Avril’s POV
The ride to Golden Moon is a bit awkward. I get the feeling that Alexander is bitter about his sister being wounded and Tori is just ready to be with her mate again. I can’t help but feel guilty that both my brother and my mate are completely safe and Alexander can do nothing but worry. Asher puts his arm around me, sensing my uneasiness. I’m keeping myself blind to keep myself open to visions. I wish I could look into his brown eyes so they could calm me again. Emerald sent me an image of them, and I start to breathe easier.
“The challenge is being reviewed by the council.” Tori said softly. “Wesley won’t be a threat for much longer.”
