Chapter 25 When Chris heard the click of the lock and the swish of the storage room door as it opened, he sat up abruptly. He winced as the knife blade scraped his flesh. Adjusting the weapon, he swung his feet to the floor and waited for Nat to return. When she appeared, his liberator approached with her hands hiked in the air, though the fingers of her right were wrapped around a bottle of champagne. The strange expression on her face made Chris frown. Just what was Nat up to? Did she wish to surrender to him and beg his forgiveness?
