"Water's here, y'all. Just a reminder to boil before use." Shane called ask he exited his car. I walked over and grabbed a container from him before taking it back over to my tent. I went inside the tent and put my guns in my holster before pulling my hair up into a ponytail. Suddenly there was a scream before Carl's voice sounded through the air.  "Mom!" He called. I rushed out of my tent and followed Shane and Rick towards the noise. "Dad!" Carl yelled. Carl ran over to his mom whilst we went over to the thing that had made them yell out.   There was a walker it was busy eating the carcass of a deer. I saw Daryl arrows sticking out of the carcass and instantly became worried as he wasn't here. The walker stopped eating and looked up at us, snarling and hissing. I lifted my gun but Shane pushed it down.  "It's too loud." He said. I nodded and stepped back as Glenn, Shane, Rick and Morales began to beat the walker before Dale finally finished it off by chopping it's head off. "It's the first one we've had up here." Dale said.  "They never come this far up the mountain." I added.  "Well, they're running out of food in the city, that's what." Jim informed. Suddenly twigs and sticks began to snap in the forest, we all lifted our weapons towards the noise. As it got closer, I tightened my grip on my gun tightened. Suddenly, Daryl emerged from the trees, crossbow in hand. I dropped my arms and rushed over to him.  "Daryl!" I exclaimed, wrapping my arms around his neck. I felt him wrap his free arm around my waist and nuzzle his face into my neck. I pulled back and looked down.   "Son of a bitch." Daryl cursed, letting go of my waist. "That's my deer! Look at it. All gnawed on by this... filthy, disease-bearing, motherless poxy bastard!" He snapped, kicking the headless walker angrily.  "Calm down, son. That's not helping." Dale said.  "What do you know about it, old man? Why don't you take that stupid hat and go back to "on golden pond"?" Daryl snapped, getting up in Dale's face. "I've been tracking this deer for miles. Gonna drag it back to camp, cook us up some venison. What do you think? Do you think we can cut around this chewed up part right here?" He asked as he pulled his arrows from the carcass of the deer.  "I would not risk that." Shane said, shaking his head. Daryl sighed and came and stood by me.  "That's a damn shame. I got some squirrel... about a dozen or so. That'll have to do." He said before placing a kiss on the side of my head. The walker's head then began to move, clashing it's teeth together. Amy and Andrea walked away, disgusted. "Come on, people. What the hell?" Daryl snapped before shooting the head. "It's gotta be the brain. Don't y'all know nothing?" He asked, taking his arrow from the head and heading into the camp. I looked up at Shane and Rick and nodded. They nodded back before we followed Daryl. "Merle! Merle! Get your ugly ass out here! I got us some squirrel! Let's stew 'em up." Daryl yelled for his brother, I looked down sadly, walking over to the RV. "Daryl, just slow up a bit. I need to talk to you." Shane called. Daryl stopped and looked back at Shane.  "About what?" He asked.  "About Merle. There was a... There was a problem in Atlanta." Shane started.  "He dead?" Daryl asked.  "We're not sure." Shane sighed.  "He either is or he ain't!" Daryl yelled.  "No easy way to say this, so I'll just say it." Rick started.  "Who are you?" Daryl snapped.  "Rick grimes." Rick replied.  "Rick grimes, you got something you want to tell me?" Daryl asked.  "Your brother was a danger to us all, so I handcuffed him on a roof, hooked him to a piece of metal. He's still there." Rick explained. Daryl looked away, wiping his eyes.  "Hold on. Let me process this. You're saying you handcuffed my brother to a roof and you left him there?!" Daryl yelled loudly, causing me to jump. I began to walk over to him.  "Yeah." Rick sighed. Daryl's face twisted in anger before he threw the squirrel at Rick before lunging for him, only to be tackled to the floor.  "Hey!" I snapped at Shane. Daryl then pulled out his knife.  "Watch the knife!" T-Dog called. Rick grabbed the arm which the knife was in before Shane put Daryl in a choke hold, all this time Lori was holding me back from intervening.  "You'd best let me go!" Daryl yelled, struggling in Shane's grip.  "Nah, I think it's better if I don't." Shane retorted.  "Choke holding's illegal." Daryl snapped.  "You can file a complaint. Come on, man. We'll keep this up all day." Shane said as Daryl continued to struggle.  "I'd like to have a calm discussion on this topic. Do you think we can manage that?" Rick asked, bending down to Daryl who didn't say anything. "Do you think we can manage that?" Rick repeated before nodding at Shane who dropped Daryl to the floor. I pulled out of Lori's grip and ruushed over to Daryl. and crouching down next to him.  "What I did was not on a whim. Your brother does not work and play well with others." Rick snapped.  "It's not Rick's fault. I had the key. I dropped it." T-Dog butted in.  "You couldn't pick it up?" Daryl snarled.  "Well, I dropped it in a drain." Dog said. Daryl sighed and hung his head down, I placed my hand on his shoulder and stood up along with him.  "If it's supposed to make me feel better, it don't." He snapped, throwing a stone across the floor.  "Well, maybe this will. Look, I chained the door to the roof... So the geeks couldn't get at him... With a padlock." T-Dog explained. Daryl looked down.  "It's gotta count for something." Rick said, raising his eyebrows. Tears filled Daryl's eyes and he quickly tried to wipe them away.  "Hell with all y'all! Just tell me where he is so that I can go get him." Daryl sighed.  "He'll show you. Isn't that right?" Lori asked, looking up at Rick.  "I'm going back." Rick agreed. Daryl just glared before walking over to his crossbow and picking it up before heading over to our tent. I looked at Rick before following after Daryl. I entered the tent to see him sitting on his sleeping back with his legs crossed and his head in his hands. I walked over and sat down in front of him. I took his hands and he looked up at me, tears in his eyes. I placed my hands on  his cheeks.  "We're gonna get him back Daryl." I whispered. He sighed and looked down.  "He's dead, I know it, he's dead Pipe." Daryl cried.  "No he's not Daryl, he's fine, we're gonna go find him and bring him back." I told him, Daryl smiled at me sadly and nodded. He then leant forward and kissed my lips, I kissed back and wrapped my arms around his neck. I then pulled him into a hug, he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me onto his lap. I pulled back slightly and play with the hair on the back of his head. He looked down sadly and sighed. I lifted  his head with my hands and pecked his lips. "We're gonna get him back." I reassured.  Chapter 4! I hope you enjoyed it!! Please vote and comment!! Loves Ya!!!
