THE next morning, Avery found Jamie as soon as she could and pulled him aside to explain everything she’d talked about with Myra. To his credit, Jamie didn’t offer any judgement, or say how odd it was, what she wanted to do, and how difficult it would be to do that without either of them getting into trouble.
