JAMIE had figured out something. What that something was, Avery wasn’t a hundred percent certain. He’d gone through multiple plans within the span of a day. At first, he’d tried to take a page out of Cinderella’s book and send her in disguise—they’d scrapped that immediately because anyone would recognize her instantly, especially the twins, if they were there. Also, she’d be the only one in a mask, which was just weird. Then he’d tried to persuade her to just ask Elena to let the twins come, which she’d flat-out refused, because she really wouldn’t do that to Elena. Or Lucas. Or whoever else would become the twins’ victim. Then he’d gone back to the plan of tricking the twins, which seemed the most probable but was too risky.
