“SO, do you like Bio?” Alex asked. She nodded in the affirmative. Like Bio? It was one of her favorite subjects.
“Yes, I do.”
“Really? It’s so boring!” He complained dramatically. A small chuckle escaped her lips, and she paused. When was the last time anyone had made her laugh, besides Jamie? “Hey, Avery.” Alex called. She snapped out of her daze and looked at him.
“Yeah?”
“Do you, like, get good grades?” He asked. She nodded silently, unsure of where this was going. But she answered anyways.
“I believe nothing below an A is good.”
His eyes widened. “Whoa, that’s amazing.”
The corners of her lips tilted up slightly as she accepted the compliment. “Thanks.”
“No problem. Well, there is a problem, actually. Do you think, possibly, maybe…” Alex trailed off, looking sheepish.
