“Right, we will pick up where we left off tomorrow guys, pack up and get home. And try not to stay out too long, remember to be back in doors before sundown. ” Ares, Greek God of war and our teacher, boomed making more than half of us jump.
“Were you dosing off?” Philotes said with a slight giggle.
“I was,” Mania replied with a yawn, “I was up late last night busy doing some research.”
“And by research, do you mean watching through Erebus’s window for hours?”
“Well now that you mention it, that is exactly what I was doing.”
“They are just so perfect, aren’t they?” She turned and looked at Erebus and Zelus. As Mania turned her head to look at them, Erebus turned his head to look at her. Their eyes met for a split second as she started blushing and whipped her head back around just in time to stop herself from walking into Eros.
“Ah, my little Goddess. Couldn’t stay away from me, could you?” Eros said with a flirty grin on his face.
“Eros, just remember that your powers do not work entirely on Gods or Goddesses, so cut the crap.” Mania rolled her eyes and tried to walk past him.
“You really are my favourite little Goddess.”
“Eros, don’t you think it’s a coincidence that I am short and Goddess of the dead?”
“No, why?”
“It’s because I am closer to hell, now get away from me.”
“Or what, my little Goddess?”
Mania turned to look at him, pushing from within, his eyes met her gaze and his grin fell. He stood, rooted to the spot, just staring at her as she pushed her powers more. Happy with what she had done, she broke off and watched him. He looked startled then he turned around. His face dropped and he started screaming.
“Khaos! Run!!” As he tried to run, Ares came outside and held him tight.
“Mania! Knock it off!” Ares screamed at her.
She suppressed a smile as she brought back everything awful she had given to him. He stopped instantly looking around, at everyone staring at him. Ares started asking him if he is okay but Mania couldn’t care less, so she turned her back and started walking home with Philotes. The walk home was silent. Too silent.
Mania was kind hearted, loving and caring but she could also be just as merciless and cold hearted.
Mania had very little time for the games of very little boys.
