Emeralds Beginning.

Emerald looked at the sky as if it had just opened up, and the stars had started pouring down on him. he was gobsmacked. he looked almost like Lillianna. She always looked like that. he had the rudest looking sister on planet, he thought. but well after he had told her. told her the secret.....

for some, it wasn't a very big secret but just a minute inconvenience. for him, however, it was not minute but rather the worst secret to ever be told. a major inconvenience that could one day change the way he lives his life. actually, there was no one day. he had spilled the beans, so I guess that meant his hypothetical 'one day' was actually today.

Taking a deep breath emerald stood, raising himself from the beaten side of his silver painted travel case, stretching his tall legs out in a , just about to run a 400 meter sprint style , and he started walking.

Emerald Livesto walked through the chilling forest, passing the black slim figures of trees stabbing the sky. He would keep walking through the cursed forest until he reached the maple House.

It was always unclear why they called it the maple House. It was cold and uninviting. the maple house looked abandoned with its broken decking, shattered stuck windows, and splintered roof, but Emerald knew different. Emerald was very smart. He knew a lot for someone of his age, most 19 year olds just focused on partying, especially the spoiled rich ones he knew. But Emerald was different, smart enough to know that this house was brought by the Cambells 6 years ago. God only knows what they'd be doing. with it.. But for now, Emerald thought he'd be safe there. at least for one night.

Well, a cold, dusty bed in a cold spooky house, in the middle of a cold, lonely forest.... better than home. and warmer.

sure enough, as emerald shivered at this thought, he was outside the time-battered door of maple house.

with a swift jump up the wooden porch, and a light push at the door, He was inside, climbing the stairs towards the rotting master bedroom where he would retire for the night safely away from the chaos of his minute, inconvenient secret....
