EPISODE 3:AM UNEXPECTED MEETING

414 Words
The next morning, Isabella woke up earlier than usual. As she got ready for work, she noticed the business card Alexander had given her lying on her bedside table. She picked it up and smiled. “I’ll probably never use this,” she whispered before placing it back in her bag. After breakfast, she left for the hotel. When she arrived, everyone seemed unusually excited. “Did you hear?” one of her coworkers asked. “Hear what?” Isabella replied. “Mr. Alexander Kingston is coming back today.” “Back? Why?” “They say he has another meeting with the hotel management.” Before Isabella could respond, her manager called everyone together. “Listen up! Mr. Kingston will be touring the hotel this morning. I want everything to be perfect.” “Yes, ma’am,” everyone answered. A few minutes later, several luxury cars pulled up outside the hotel. Alexander stepped out, followed by his assistant, Daniel. Everyone greeted him respectfully. “Good morning, Mr. Kingston.” He nodded politely as he walked through the lobby. While carrying a tray of coffee to the conference room, Isabella wasn’t paying attention. She turned a corner— And bumped into someone. “Oh!” The tray almost slipped from her hands. Alexander quickly reached out and steadied it before the cups could fall. “Looks like we meet this way again,” he said with a smile. Isabella laughed nervously. “I really need to stop running into you.” “I was thinking the same thing.” They both laughed. Just then, Daniel cleared his throat. “Sir, the meeting is about to begin.” Alexander nodded but looked back at Isabella. “I hope your day goes better than yesterday.” “I hope yours does too.” As Alexander walked away, Isabella couldn’t help smiling. From the other side of the lobby, Victoria Langford watched everything. She had come to surprise Alexander, but instead she found him smiling at another woman. Her expression hardened. “Who exactly is she?” Victoria asked Daniel. “She’s one of the hotel staff.” Victoria folded her arms. “Find out everything about her.” Daniel looked uncomfortable. “I’m afraid I can’t do that, Miss Langford.” Victoria smiled coldly. “Then I’ll do it myself.” She looked at Isabella one more time. “This isn’t over.” Little did Isabella know… Her life was about to become far more complicated.
