Amber tip toed in his room careful not to wake him up until her plan was put in motion. Breakfast was ready and to tell the truth they were all waiting for Mr. lazy bones brains to click that dawn have arrived a century ago. Climbing onto the bed, she took out the grass from her pocket and slowly rubbed it on his cheek. However, Tristan did not move. She tried that a couple more times but all she got was him reaching up to swipe away the disturbance from his cheek. Getting frustrated, she got on top of him strapping his body with either of her feet and quickly pulled off the pillow from his head. She then started hitting him with it while shouting ‘Tristan wake up.’ Over and over again. Tristan groaned grabbed the pillow from her and put it over his head. This was one of the mornings where he was having such beautiful dreams only to be awoken so rudely by the wailing woman. Damn her voice was piercing enough to awaken even a statue. No he was not going to give in to her insatiable demands. He was going to see his dream through. Hopefully the pillow can push all the noise away. Amber just peeled with laughter at his reaction. He was acting like a big baby. If he thought she was going to give up he better think again. She was there to wake him up and that’s what she was going to do no matter what. Reaching underneath his t-shirt she started tickling him mercilessly. Within no time Tristan’s resolve broke and the he peeled with laughter. Damn the woman just knew how to get people her way. He had tried to stifle the laughter but she was too adamant. ‘Don’t please don’t,’ he cried mercilessly after she refused to end the torture. He had been awake for ten minutes and she was still not letting go. It was as if she was making him pay for not waking up sooner. Grabbing his pillow he hit her hard by surprise that she tumbled on the bed backwards. At least that gave him time to breath. ‘Hey Amber, are you okay?’ Tristan asked when a minute went by without her moving. He couldn’t have hit her that hard could he? It was just a joke. He reached up to her but she was still not moving. Tristan could not breathe. He turned ad pale as a sheet that instant, his heart ready to bulge out of chest out of fear. God what was he going to do if he killed her? Jumping off the bed quickly nearly breaking it into two, he carried her into his arms heading downstairs while screaming Nana and Williams names. William had never seen his brother that worried. He was on the verge of losing it. Maybe this time he might not even recover from his illness. Tears were ramming through his eyes nonstop while he was muttering to himself, ‘don’t die on me. Please don’t die on me.’ over and over again. William was just about to run to the garage to get a car when Amber winked at him then went on with her presence. ‘This is not going to be good,’ William said before he shook his head in despair playing along. Too late, Tristan had seen her. Her little charade was over now it was his turn. He yanked her up to his shoulder and started whipping her ass. The woman almost drove him out of her mind. Didn’t she know how sacred he was? Well he’d be damned if he let her disrespect him like that again. ‘Ouch,’ Amber yelled in disbelief. Tristan was nuts. How could he? ‘Put me down!’ she screamed but he was relentless. None of the people around her helped. As a matter of fact they found the whole scene hilarious and were struggling to contain their laughter. Tristan only stopped after he’d whipped her five good times. He then out her down and strode to the breakfast table like nothing had happened. ‘I’m never helping you again,’ Amber angrily told William before she stormed to the breakfast table. She was hungry and she refused to cower away and let her stomach suffer. Her ass was burning but she had to admit she had gone a little overboard. Well at least something good came out of it. She knew Tristan cared for her. Maybe even more than he would like to admit. William and Nana joined them and in no time they were all laughing together sharing stories. Amber’s eyes wandered voluntary towards Tristan. With two months having gone by, Amber had more than enough times to sort her feelings. The day after the passionate kiss, Tristan did not remember a thing. In his brain he had gotten straight to bed after he got angry. Of course their relationship was never the same. Tristan put a distance between them and she couldn’t blame him. And as much as she wanted to take the first step towards mending what was broken between them, she just couldn’t. Gabriel needed her more and she had to be present for him. She just kept on praying that Tristan would welcome her back when she was free. Two moths however did it for her. It wasn’t fair to Tristan and she couldn’t withstand seeing him hurting over and over again. That’s when she made the decision to remedy the damage she had done. She would always be there for Gabriel as she promised but as a friend. As for Tristan, he had to pay his dues. He had to scratch the itch he had awoken in her. They were just done with breakfast when Amber called for all the servants. Nana and the boys eyed her curiously but none questioned her. They all waited to see what she was playing at. She had never given a command since she came into the house and everyone was curious to know what it would be. ‘Girls I want you to take the day off. Go and have fun. I’ll see you tomorrow.’ The girls hesitated a bit but then she urged on, ‘Go on ahead guys. I already discussed this with Tristan and he is okay with it.’ All eyes turned on Tristan who agreed and they all left the room chattering in happiness. When they were out of reach Tristan turned to Amber, ‘Damn you woman for putting me on the spot. So when did we discuss this…. This absurd….. No bizarre… damn I can’t even get the words straight,’ ‘Relax Tristan, we can take care of ourselves for a change. A day won’t kill us besides be my guest and tell them you have changed your mind.’ Tristan just muttered curses underneath his breath. William on the other hand who had been taken aback by the whole scene finally found his voice and asked the question that lingered in everyone’s mind, ‘Ahem Amber, whose going to cook?’ ‘Good question. No need to worry about that. We have a chef for the day.’ ‘We do?’ they all asked in unison. ‘Yes,’ ‘Who?’ ‘Tristan of course.’ While Tristan barked a no, Nana and William cringed. Tristan sucked in cooking, it was no secret. ‘Don’t worry people I intend to teach him how to cook. His lessons start today.’ William burst into laughter at a frowning Tristan. However he had planned to spend his day, this was not it. And the future was looking darker by the second. Not that he wouldn’t enjoy spending more time with Amber, it’s just that she was now with Gabriel and the bromance code restricted him from even breathing her way with desire. He hadn’t given up on having her but he wanted her to come to him on her own free volition. Besides they were meant to be and he had faith in that. ‘Don’t laugh too hard, we wouldn’t want your lungs to collapse seeing that you are doing the dishes,’ Amber told William before she turned to Tristan who was now having his fair share of the laughter, ‘Tristan lets go.’
