Chapter 16: Acting

The soothing words that come from Ellie's mouth are sure to put Hades at ease. The combination of that comforting sob and those pitiful, hesitant words came together to form a weapon that could destroy men's sanity. Naturally, Hades was not outside of this realm; he was disturbed by Ellie's pity.

His arms unconsciously wrapped around Ellie, his mouth constantly muttering comforting words to her.

"Ellie, don't cry. I assured you that I would look after everything for you. Your tears make me feel very uneasy; therefore, please refrain from crying and have faith in me."

Ellie gave a little shake of her head and then buried her little face in the fabric of his lap. It was a hushed voice.

“Hades, I don't want to upset you. I don't want your life to become unstable because of my appearance... I, shouldn't have bothered you."

Hades grabbed Ellie by the shoulders and forced her to look up at him as he spoke. He was in a very solemn mood and spoke very slowly for Ellie to be able to understand every sentence.

"Ellie, you are the only woman I love. I beg you to never think like that. You never became a nuisance or a hindrance in my life. Ellie, I will keep you here because this is my home, and I have the right to keep you here. I beg you to never think like that."

Scarlet's sarcastic grin couldn't be contained for long. She was taken aback by Ellie's impressive acting abilities. She is unquestionably the crown jewel of the acting community as well as the most accomplished top-tier actor in the entertainment industry at present. The glittering tears of a stunning woman, where every single drop has been carefully accounted for in advance.

She did a slow handclap as a sign of her appreciation for Ellie.

"Very well, you are without a doubt the most valuable acting asset in the history of the modern entertainment industry. Lovely features, delicate tears, and a gentle voice. In the end, what other fascinating things do you have that I haven't discovered about you yet? "

Ellie looked at Scarlet in horror, but this time there was a sudden tenacity in Ellie's eyes. She took a step forward, keeping a safe distance from Scarlet, and Ellie lowered her head, pleading with Scarlet.

“Scarlet, I will leave Ellie here. You stay in your main home area. The side villa area will belong to Ellie, I guarantee Ellie and you will have a different life in two places. Ellie's not an ignorant person, she won't upset you."

At this point, Scarlet understood why Ellie and Hades were able to stay together for such a long period. Scarlet laughed while giving Hades a scornful and mocking look. Ellie gives her a special irony, and Hades also gives her an unpleasant weirdness.

"You are so stupid that you make me laugh. If you know what kind of relationship I have with Hades, you should obey him and stay away from him."
