Chapter 45: Talking

1128 Words
Hades quickly got to his feet and started walking away. Hades was immediately contacted by phone by Devilin, who said: "Hades, the reason I came to see you is that I want to get Scarlet back. It makes no difference to me whether she already has a husband or not; I will still have her back. I can't live without her, and I adore her." How conceited of the third man to finally strut over to the husband, pat himself on the chest, and boldly tell him that he plans to sleep with his wife's coworker's wife. The third individual is, without a doubt, a scoundrel who is utterly deserving of contempt. However, it appears that Devilin is aware of the nature of the relationship that exists between Hades and Scarlet, which is the source of his confidence. He rose to his feet slowly, poured out the contents of the glass of wine he was holding, and placed it on the table. The fact that the wine glass is dry is symbolic of the unwavering resolve that Devilin possesses. Since he dared to come here, provoking Hades, he must be aware, of course, that the consequences he will suffer from his actions are already known to him. He has his heart set on Scarlet, and he intends to do whatever it takes to win her over. Devilin felt an overwhelming sense of contentment in the knowledge that he desired to possess her and keep her as a pet, much like a bird in a golden cage. Devilin decided not to wait for Hades' response and instead left on his own accord. ——— Hades waited for Scarlet to come back for a considerable amount of time, but she did not show up. His eyes kept darting to the front door as he paced back and forth in the living room. He seemed to be looking for someone. Scarlet has, contrary to Hades' expectations, returned to her old stomping grounds. Scarlet's eyes, in contrast to her lovely cheeks, were icy and lonely to the point where they seemed strange today. Her body had a trace of the odor of alcohol, and she had rosy cheeks that were seductive. She entered the living room in a leisurely manner, didn't look at Hades once, and then proceeded to her bedroom on the second floor. Hades yelled after him, "Scarlet, you stop! I have something to tell you!" Scarlet turned around and saw Hades standing there. Scarlet rejected the idea by shaking her head and stating, "My head hurts a lot today, and I'm in a bad mood because of it, so I can't talk to you normally. If there is something you want to say to me, you can say it when we have more time." Ever since Hades' hand had taken a firm hold of Scarlet's wrist, he had made up his mind to keep a firm grip on her foot and prevent her from escaping. Scarlet made a scowling face and asked with a huffy tone, "What's the point of keeping me? What part of what I just said didn't register with you?" "Of course, I heard that, but I have something very important to discuss with you," Hades said. "I only need a short amount of your time, and I can promise you that it won't take up too much of your day." Scarlet hid her face with her hand and struggled to free herself from Hades' grip, but she was unsuccessful. It would appear that Hades will not allow her to relax and is determined to irritate her until she pays attention to what he has to say. Hades: "Only a little bit more." He lowered his voice, and I could make out the word "please" in his tone. Scarlet: "Okay, keep it simple." Both of them drank water while sitting at the table together. Hades placed a phone call to the butler and requested that he make him a cup of tea. This interest was completely unintentional, and even Hades himself was taken aback by it. "Devilin stopped by to see me today," Hades said. He doesn't waste any time getting to the point. When all of a sudden, she stopped, Scarlet had just finished lowering her head and softly rubbing her temples. It was necessary to open eyes that had previously been closed. His mouth opened in a scathing utterance. What a thick-skinned jerk that cretin is, she dared to annoy the other people in the room. Devilin is like a ghost haunting Scarlet, stalking her even in her dreams. If Devilin dared to go and find Hades, he would certainly act impolitely at some point in the future and go bother Scarlet's parents. She gripped her hand tightly. Even though Scarlet can't consent to Devilin's demands, Devilin is free to act however he pleases. Scarlet asked, "What exactly did he say to you?" Hades: "He told me about your relationship with him. I was surprised to hear that. He even went so far as to say that he is going to take you away from me, which is a very conceited thing to do." Scarlet had the unpleasant sensation that her throat was beginning to rise along with nausea. Even though they haven't been in each other's lives for a very long time, that scumbag is still able to make her feel repugnant despite how long it's been since they were together. She inquired, "So, what is it that you are hoping to learn from me?" "I just want to know the relationship between you and him so that I can easily figure out how to deal with Devilin," Hades said. "I just want to know the relationship between you and him. I don't care for him, but if he's your boyfriend, girlfriend, or anyone else who's romantically involved with you, feel free to let me know. I don't want to hurt your significant other in any way." Scarlet scratched the back of her head, took a sip of the reviving tea that the housekeeper had brought, and smiled with a hint of amusement as she said, "I can't even stop hating him; how can they be lovers or lovers?" The conversation comes to a close with Hades saying, "That's it for now, but in Devilin's mouth I can tell you two had a close relationship in the past." Scarlet is not taken aback by Hades's playful nature because: "Indeed, there was a romantic connection between the two of us in the not-too-distant past. My affair with Devilin lasted for two years, but it ended when he cheated on me. Our relationship was short-lived. In a broad sense, we cannot be considered to be in a relationship with one another at this time."
