Chapter 11: Confused

Ellie took a brief hold of Scarlet's hand, but she eventually found herself unable to resist releasing her grip. Her shoulders were trembling now and then, and the tears of condescension that were falling from her eyes did not stop. His eyelashes fluttered and obscured a glimpse of Ellie's sparkling eyes. She slowly pulled herself up and tightened her grip on her skirt as she stood. Miren stared at Ellie without displaying any emotion; she then turned her attention to Ellie's distressed expression and continued speaking. "I want you to comprehend what you are and where you are at this moment. Hades and I are married. Everyone thinks that we are the perfect match for each other and that we would be happier together than with anyone else. And you…" Scarlet smiled as she examined Ellie from head to toe once more intently while her eyes retained their icy, penetrating quality. "And you are just his little mistress. You are the woman in Hades' shadow, and I am the woman in his light. Obediently know your place; only then will you be safe. And you are just his little mistress." As soon as Vane realized she had Ellie, she let out a loud snort and then couldn't help but make fun of Scarlet. You are nothing more than a wife that Hades married to keep a secret from everyone else. Hades is more concerned about protecting Ellie than he is about you, and he will never love you. The sudden pain that pierced the sky hit Vane's cheeks, making her eyes black, and her mind dizzy. Vane was startled, her eyes widening as she stared at Scarlet, as she couldn't believe what had just happened. Scarlet waved her hand, slapping Vane in the face with a massive slap. Vane yelled at the other person, "What the hell are you doing?" Vane was about to rush up to Scarlet and attack her when Ellie quickly reached out and grabbed her arm. Ellie knew that Scarlet would not be an easy piece of meat to swallow, and the moment was not the appropriate time for Ellie and Vane to be hostile toward Scarlet. "Vane, stop acting like that and come with me." Vane did not agree. Because of the earlier contempt that she had received from July, it was difficult for her to find a place to vent her frustrations, and it was not simple for Vane to give up. Ellie's hand was pushed away as she fought and struggled. While he was speaking in a solemn tone, Vane placed his hands on Ellie's shoulders. "Ellie, what the hell are you going through your head? Do you seriously want her to sit on your head while she's laying on top of your head? ” Ellie clenched her teeth but continued to give Vane sound advice despite her discomfort. Stop it, she's not someone we can have any influence over. This may be difficult to hear, but it's the truth. In addition, this is a reality that can't be refuted in any way. Scarlet expressed her contentment with a nod. She gave Ellie and Vane a long, staring stare before turning away to leave. Before she went, Scarlet made sure to give the two of them some sincere guidance before she left. "It is imperative that neither of you touches me. Because even with Hades on your side, I can still use my method to prevent you both from raising your heads. After completing her sentence, Scarlet exited the room. After taking a look in Scarlet's direction, Vane angrily grabbed Ellie by the hand. Even though the two of them had returned to the mansion, the wailing and gnashing of teeth continued. Ellie's head hurt so badly that it felt like it was going to split open and explode. The weight of Vane's words brought Ellie's entire world crashing down on her like a ton of sledgehammers. When Ellie finally reached her breaking point, she let out a sudden, loud shout and threw the glass of water that Vane had just finished pouring onto the ground. The sound of the collision reverberated throughout the room, cutting off Vane's harsh words. Ellie: "Shut up, I'm not even going to listen to the rest of this because I'm so exhausted." Vane grimaced as she ran after Ellie and jerked back her hand as she did so. "Why are you behaving in such an odd manner toward me? You are well aware that I act in this manner solely with your welfare in mind. Vane reached out to Ellie, but Ellie brushed his hand away and said, "I don't want to argue with you anymore. I'm so tired." It doesn't seem to matter what I say right now; I get the feeling that it won't make any sense. Vane: "No, you can't continue like this. You have to change." When you first met, Hades was your man." Ellie was aware that Vane was concerned about her whereabouts. She understood Vane's genuine concern for her, but at the moment, her thoughts were all over the place. "I am aware that you wish only the best for me. But at this point, I'm exhausted. I have no interest in continuing this conversation." Vane: "Hades is being taken away by Scarlet, but you are still indifferent..." "Shut up, Hades is mine, and no one has the right to take him away from me," she said angrily. "No one has the right." Vane was momentarily taken aback by Ellie's outburst of indignation; however, Vane quickly recovered and nodded happily in response to Ellie's behavior, which put Vane at ease. Vane: "Very well, you should keep your spirit like that. Ellie, you are my best friend. Remember that whatever I do is for your good. Ellie, you are my best friend. Remember that whatever I do is for your good." Ellie didn't respond to the question, instead, she turned her head and walked with a sluggish gait toward the bedroom. ——— Scarlet was sitting in the room, her long, slender legs showing through the seductive lace dress. The light was gently cast on her skin, forming a warm shade that kissed it. Scarlet's haughty figure really matched her sharp face, and she was comfortably enjoying the taste of the glass of wine in her hand. The charming tunes that were coming from the vintage music player, along with the traditional sounds that were resonating throughout the bedroom, were all of a sudden silenced. Scarlet's eyelashes flitted ever-so-slightly as she opened her eyes drowsily and gazed in the direction of the vintage music player. Scarlet's eyes were filled with a mixture of sleepiness and drowsiness.
